Nexstar are about to do a mega deal merger with another company which needs Trump's...sorry, FCC's authoritarian, sorry, authorisation to complete. Some punditry shows, like Bill Maher for example have noticeably toned it down in recent months with their criticism of the president. Maher, not long ago had dinner with Trump at the White House. Which is fine, but.....you know. The Kimmel incident will potentially set a president on what can or can not be said and others may or may not follow the narrative. (John Oliver's fucked then)

Anyone watching Alien Earth? A welcome relief from the disappointment of Romulus which felt like a lazy parody of the entire franchise. This much better addresses what fans of the original want I think. Alien Earth is fresh and gruesome as hell. You don't need an in depth knowledge of Alien lore to appreciate it.

We've already got enough players who 'will be ok' in the Championship. To offer one a contract extension because they're 'handy in the dressing room' is barmy. What happens if we get promoted and can't offload him...will the club be obliged to shoehorn him in again...or pay him $50k a week for warming the bench? Our only signings so far are unproven at this level when we need some serious bolstering (if we're going to lose our best players in the window), so it's frustrating when we learn that Capt Jack has been given an extension.

Martin succeeded with us because our squad was solid...we sort of passed the fuck out of the opposition until the opponents got tired and bored, and we grabbed a goal. Yes it got stale after a while but we got promoted. If Martin replicates what he did for us, you've got to ask yourself, on a fuckwit level of 1-10, how do your owners/director rate? Ours is a solid 10, which is why they extended Martin's contract last summer, which lead to his extended tenure, by which time it was too late.

Anyone else watched Andor? Fucking great wasn't it. Not one of your Disney-esque camp Star Wars spinoffs for kids, at all. Proper SciFi, beautifully acted and scripted. Adolescence, very good.
