Plenty of elderly folk walk it quite easily,it's not Mount Everest. A new train Station, resignalled, reprogrammed rail service isn't going to be needed to a handful of people that can't walk 20mins, but can pack onto a platform/train. Plenty of pubs within 10mins walk if people want a beer, can't think of anything worse than a new built complex.

I'd echo the comments above about us really not needing a new station, we've got plenty nearby. I'm also surprised about how many want new bar and restaurant type complexes and aren't happy with just the regular boozers to go to around Southampton, can't see that being an improvement.
