Wanyama and the St.Marys crowd ...boo or cheer ?
Sour Mash replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Personally, I wouldn't want to do any business with Spurs, but its not that simple. Are we going to have a key player, running his contract down, having a strop every summer, but isn't of interest to any of the other "top" teams, what happens from there? My understanding is that Wanyama had thrown a bit of a strop at the end of the 2014 summer transfer window and obviously did the same this summer. Something has got to give somewhere along the line. I definitely don't think he'll go in January, but will be gone next summer and unfortunately, just from practical reasons, I reckon it could well be to Spurs. -
The facts show that a large, significant amount of immigration to this country are from countries where we have no control - this has led to significantly higher gross and net immigration figures, that's a fact, regardless of whether you think immigration should still be reduced further/controlled more.
-
So because a member of your family is a recent immigrant Britain should have limited control of its laws and borders? Great logic there.

Out. What possible reason is there to remain in?
-
Did we? Lots actually went down I thought?

Aren't we told we should hate these nasty organisations that make an effort to avoid paying tax?
-
Yeah, I'd agree with that, nature of the "debt" being important.
-
Is our level of debt quite high though in comparison to turnover? What's our likely approach to the debt? Just chip away at it year on year?

I like old Ralph. Can see why some might find him a bit annoying, can't really understand any stronger feelings than that.

St.Stephen's Day and Boxing Day games rearranged

It'd take at least an hour from Barnet's ground to the Boleyn. -

The views of some on here sum up the left's attitude to the UK population. They're too simple to understand politics or news and are just deluded simpletons that blindly follow whatever is printed in the tabloids. If only they could be enlightened academic Guardian readers like us, they'd see the real truth, they really would

You think readers of the Express and Mail need to be lied to so they don't vote for Corbyn?
-
David Cameron saying Corbyn hates Britain is irrelevant, just the usual hyperbolic rhetoric you get in such speeches, it's not going to make a difference to anything.
-
Just say if you don't want to answer either question.
-
Cheers for the heads up, that's a pretty amusing read.

Out of interest, what would be your definition of 'poverty' in the UK in 2015?
-
What's wrong with aiming to have the same work ethic as other nations? Where has anyone proposed a system that people couldn't live on?
-
Looking at the bigger picture, as a matter of principle, why should there be tax credits? Surely it's not a sensible, long-term strategy to aim for?
-
Even under a Tory Govt we all still pay a very large % of tax. Many Billions are spent on the NHS. What's the great concern from those on the left?
-
What's that got to do with how they were perceived at the time they were elected?
