Good point. Both in terms of the transfer market and European competitions, it helps put the English ahead of its competitors.
-
It doesn't really cut both ways. This isn't an NFL forum.
-
I hate Michael Owen's commentary.
-
Liverpool scoring has woken Spurs up. Kane has really surpassed my expectations, currently one of the best strikers in the league.
-
Liverpool do look very good at the moment.
-
It's clearly relevant. You were debating what is fair or not, not what is 'allowed'.
-
But the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd , Liverpool are subsidising the other PL clubs, by not negotiating their tv deals individually.
-
But by your logic, you think it would be fair if all teams negotiated their own tv deals?
-
By your logic, in terms of what is 'fair', we shouldn't be benefitting from people wanting to watch Man Utd and Chelsea so much, but we are. For the long term good of the overall game, it would be good to see as much of this money as possible make it's way down through the football pyramid.
-
Ridiculus number of games per season for tv. Friday night games would be better than Monday nights, so a small bonus there.
-
Who are their other injured players? Reid and Collins? Can't be easy being a Centre Back playing with a broken nose.

West Ham fan here in peace.. Wednesday night in Southampton

It's reopening in a couple of weeks after 10 years of being closed. Meant to be going for a similar approach to the original. -
We're still surely better than the vast majority of other PL teams. And despite selling academy products in the summer, there's been a fair bit of playing time for JWP, Targett and Reed, plus debuts for others. I can't see too many other clubs doing that.
-
Said for a while, I don't think our finishing is bad at all, including Pellè, but we aren't creating enough at the moment (relative to the quality of the rest of our play).
-
Yeah, not a single away game this season we've been out played or well beaten. Could/should have taken points from every one of those games. Still got to go away to Man City and Chelsea though. On that point, hopefully we use the away fan fund to subsidise Chelsea tickets.

Pellé getting some stick from our fans.....fair or not?

I didn't hear him get any stick at QPR? I think he's been very good for us. Played every minute of every PL game for us so far this season I think? -
Post-Match Reaction: Queens Park Rangers 0-1 SAINTS
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well I'm not asking that of the player. I'm aware of why he wasn't available for Saturday's game. And I'm happy, at times, to give up a bit of JWP/Davis' hard work for a bit more creativity. Not every minute of every game, horses for courses and all that. -
West Ham look good. United are poor. Van Gaal has been lucky so far, no-way is he getting the most out of those players.
-
Anyone else see the clip of Nigel Pearson clashing with the Palace player yesterday. Doesn't look like he's coping with the pressure too well.

Yesterday was a good example of where Djuricic would be an asset for us. That bit of outright creativity that Davis and Ward Prowse don't quite give us. Little through balls to Mane and Elia etc. -

Yep, can't beat a last minute winner, just a pity we didn't have the lower tier as well. -
ANy worthwhile team news on QPR?
-
What difference does that make? Club gets offer they are happy with and player is happy with, all agree to the move, what diffence does it make which league we're in. Chambers/Chamberlain/Walcott, all the same.
-
Agreed. They've got some decent players, play alright at home and tested us a lot at home. Can't see this being easy at all.
-
The most bizarre thing was people booing Chambers, but then applauding Walcott & Chamberlain.
