I'm not saying it isn't a useful skill, but a whole three years of a degree needed to cover it? Plenty of fetivals, concerts and football matches managed by people without having to do three years of a degree.
-
Doesn't benefit anyone is my eyes. It would be better if that time and resources was used and directed for a good apprenticeship for example.
-
Possibly, but Pulis is a great appointment for them, exactly what they needed. Can't see them being easy to break down at all.

Players are still around Southampton this weekend, so I assume not. My mate has just spotted Elia going into M&S in West Quay

I just asked a question, no need for all that if you don't want to answer it.

But he's right. What is the benefit, to the economy of someone doing "Event Management" for three whole years as a degree for example. There may well be government/business reasons behind it, but they aren't clear to a lot of people, including me.

That's a good question to be fair. I guess in modern football, its not as clear cut as either being a "winger" or a "centtre forward", same as Jay Rodriguez for example, "Wide attacker", Part of a front 3 etc. I guess we can afford to play Mane just off Pelle if we're getting plenty of width from our two full backs, then the usual midfield options of Wanyama, Schneiderlin and JWP/Davis.

Who's to say the "Living Wage" is sufficient? Will that ensure that anyone of such an hourly rate would not take a penny of any kind of benefit from the state? Anyway, I'm not sure who Saints emply that this would be relevant to. Most staff on low pay would only be doing a few hours a month.

Why are only those of minimum wage deserving of more money?
-
What subsidy are you talking about here? Aren't we just talking about the teenagers/students that sell the food and drink?
-
If they're unemployed, why do you think they should have such a luxury?
-
Get it started next game and we'll all join in.

The problem is not enough people interested in making noise, nothing else really to it.
-
Maybe I've missed it, but I can't see the figure for working class kids that have qualified for Uni turning it down due to any particular reason.
-
Are there any stats or figures to support any of that?
-
Targett played at home to Chelsea already, I'd expect him to be the first choice ahead of Yoshida if fully recovered.
-
Koeman has already won it?

Southampton needs to sort its public tansport out. Lots of developments in the city centre, big student developments etc, just too slow getting about the city.
-
Equally good train service from both to be honest, both pretty quick. Hard to recommend anyway without knowing what the OP's budget is, how long he's happy on a train etc. Lots of pretty good places on that line though.
-
Goes without saying - massive game and I'd absolutely love to win this. They've hit some good form and do look a threat going forward. Got to be a cracking atmosphere for this one, the crowd can make that little bit of difference. On the basis that Targett is back, the back 5 pick themselves. Bertrand is still a big miss for us though. Wanyama and Schneiderlin definitely play, as does Pelle and Mane upfront. The rest is hard to call. Davis/Elia/Tadic/JWP into two positions - you could make an argument for any of them.
-
Ridiculous traffic even back around the station post-match. Joke getting over the bridge/walkway as well, that does need sorting.
-
Plenty of choice on that train line; Wandsworth, Richmond, Barnes, all worth a look.
