  1. But plenty of people have kept the same or similar seats for a long time. And you'd be asking long-term Chapel season ticket holders to move for no discernable benefit for them.
  2. Good stuff.
  3. So we've got Pompey in a local derby and a couple of games from many years ago.
  4. When were we held back at either of those?
  5. Right, so because we were kept in away at the skates, we should hold in every team's away support, despite that not happening to us anywhere bar skates and Millwall.
  6. I'm just picturing it now
  7. Guess they announce tv games today or tomorrow? Got to be done fairly soon.
  8. No, they have to give a percentage or an X amount (depending on if it is a league or cup game), we can't drop the amount of tickets we give to away fans. And it wasn't really "a madness" to be next to the away fans, it was a follow on from the Archers/Lower East at the Dell which worked so well.
  9. Where would he fit in? Replacement for Davis or Tadic?
  10. No clubs in the Premier League do that, apart from the biggest of local derbies.
  11. There are a few bits and pieces that are worth looking at. The fact that we don't use or apply our loyalty points system isn't another of my moans he can sort out!
  12. How do you think Football Manager gets their information?
  13. Tough enough fixture, but ultimately winnable. Be nice to get a new/different ground once in a while!
  14. Does the whole ground join into OWTS? The only song that seems to go round the ground properly and does sound class, is "Come on You Reds". And the slower version of OWTS is sang all the time these days anyway. How many times does "Pompey Fan on a String" get sung by any bit of the ground, any game?
  15. It doesn't drown them out though, most of the away support doesn't even realise "the Northam" are there.
  16. Is that just the case for those contracts signed under Cortese? Not too many of them left, guess Clyne, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Rodriguez that are still on "Cortese contracts", if there is any tangible difference.
  17. Yeah, the away fans just look/focus on the Itchen north, there is no "banter" between Saints in the Northam and the away fans. In block 41 and 40 they can barely see the away fans full stop.
  18. You carry on holding your breath through games and pretending you're getting behind your side
  19. Fair play for coming up with some suggestions, but you're never going to have a transfer of long standing season ticket holders over the course of a summer, just won't happen. Our atmosphere could do with improving, but it's not as bad as many places and doesn't need anything too drastic. At the end of the day, the club are pretty good for helping things, they pretty much turn a blind eye to standing in "standing areas", a lot of clubs don't. Ultimately, what would help the atmosphere more is if more people got involved and gave vocal support to the team, that's what would really make a difference.
  20. But (I think) the area that The9 is talking about is the pavement as you emerge out of the walkway that causes the bottleneck and long queues back.
  21. Somewhat ironic that Osvaldo and Ramirez are our highest. I guess we're still picking up some of their wages? I guess some footballer's contracts can be quite complicated anyway, in terms of win/goal/appearance bonuses, imagine rights, end of season performance bonuses etc?
  22. There is a link further up this thread to watch it.
