  1. Exactly. Easy to give pundits like him stick, but when his profession is a well paid football pundit, how he's got to the end of November without seeing the league's second place team play I'll never know.
  2. Targett has played away at Arsenal and Stoke - two tough tests and he did well in both. Very tough test against Chelsea, but I think we'll go with our 2nd choice left back.
  3. Did it not make you chuckle just a bit Rog?
  4. Good news. I wonder what that means, if anything, for Bertrand going forward. Hopefully we'll get both signed up on long term deals.
  5. Its becoming the norm in football, circa £40 for a ticket, mad. Look at some of the prices for Spurs/Chelsea/Arsenal higher category games. Saints should be subsidising match tickets instead of Travel Club travel.
  6. Agreed, that's what I'd go with for this.
  7. Has Wanyama ever played against Toure?
  8. Only a small sample of games, but they are ridiculous stats.
  9. Exactly that, and thankfully its what I expect we'll do.
  10. No, still a fair few rows empty dotted around, but what seems to happen for a lot of home games is a fairly late rush of buying, so I'd imagine we'll end up pretty close to selling out.
  11. Ah balls, just seen that, reckon they'll continue to honour it for a while anyway. Virgin West Coast Mainline are dirt cheap and Stagecoach do Megatrain, so might not be the end of good deals one way or another.
  12. You don't think Davis fits the description "high energy tackling midfielder"?
  13. You should book all of your train tickets through East Coast, no booking fee and collect points to convert into free tickets (great for games in the North East).
  14. No, we haven't sold out at all, but you're right City have sent block 43 tickets back. Tickets are pricey and Sunday lunch time on tv are a factor.
  15. Shocking news, I naively thought he'd pull through. RIP.
  16. The club are using the away fund wrong. Subsidy only works for those that can or want to use the Travel Club, and it's for a game that sells out anyway, should have used it for Villa tickets on Monday or Man Utd away in January. You'll get dropped at the ground in time for a quick pint or two, couple of pubs within 10 mins walk of Palace's ground you should be a ble to get a pint in.
  17. It does seem like we're being linked to a few players with the same characteristics; young forwards, pacey, not fully proven yet, buying clear potential the club has identified; Dybala, Corona, Redmond. Could be coincidence, could be agents using us as a good place to link players, and I realise they're not all exactly the same type of player, but it does look that this is our current target for strengthening the squad.
  18. If Phil Neville is recommending him we should probably stay clear. Can't see Man Utd or Arsenal be looking to prioritise a striker. And he won't be going for £30m anyway.
  19. How much must Clyne be worth now? £30m?
  20. Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I thought Tadic had a poor game. How many corners and freekicks don't produce anything? Pelle weren't great either. Our best two players were our best two players so far this season; Clyne and Bertrand; the personification of the top class modern full back.
  21. I certainly agree we missed Davis, but Koeman set up the team wrong + Forster's mistake why we didn't win; not sure how much the Steven Davis had on the overall result.
  22. Villa put 10 men behind the ball every game, it's the only thing they're good at, soak it up and hit on the break. We played into their hands. But as a general point, embarrassing for a club of Villa's stature.
  23. I don't see the logic in is getting rid of Ramirez. It'll be a negative for both us and him.
  24. I think after tonight we'll go on and beat Man City. We were still much, much better a side than Villa.
  25. I think Villa are s**te, a dire side, which makes tonight a bit frustrating. We played into their hands from the start, going full attacking line up. Left no options off the bench and they love soaking up pressure and hitting sides on the break. Our corners and set pieces were very wasteful. Quiet, low key support. Onwards and upwards from here.
