I acually think he might take a bit longer than our other signings to settle. Seems to still very much be getting used to the physicality of English football, didn't have any pre-season with us, doesn't speak English, long trips away with the national team and African Cup coming up in a few months, plus still pretty young. We'll see a lot more of him next year potentially.

Doesn't sound like it. Anyone know much more about this bloke? Realistic target?
-
Have the club announced if it will be pay on the day? I imagine it might well be.
-
Except they haven't. See Ed Milliband's reaction.

Upgraded Saints alive with potential … but now to handle the crunch

I'm not quite sure what point the article is making? -
That's why she had to resign - the senior Labour hierarchy would have looked at that and realised what a ridiculous own goal it was - she was trying to take the p**s out of the community they are asking for votes from. Not a bright move to say the least.
-
But there wasn't a huge reaction, she resigned before there was even much of a response. For what its worth I don't think she should have resigned - she is more than entitled to her views and should be allowed to express them.
-
Exactly. Poorly advised and delivered from a PR point of view, but if anyone reads the full Whelan comments, he's clearly trying his best not to offend or be "anti" anything.
-
Have we got a single player that would be comparable to Tadic and what he offers for us? I can't elieve we let Ramirez go, bad move there. I also don't think we have anyone that can offer anything like what Pelle does. And out 2nd choice keeper is worse than most others.

Almost sad to see how out of touch the Labour Paarty is with large swathes of the working people of this country. But a bit harsh her having to resign for that, just her opinion.
-
Yeah, still the "away fans pub" near the ground, crap pub, charge £2 entry, but very convenient.
-
But is that a lot compared to this? http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10034713.Record_breaking_cruise_figures_through_the_port_of_Southampton/

Do many major Cruise liners call at Liverpool? Most of the holiday ads I see for Cruises start/finish in Southampton.
-
I went to the Sea City Museum the other week and it was good, well worth the visit and told the story of Southampton well, albeit a bit Titanic heavy. Not sure how much stuff like that is promoted to Cruise Ship passengers.

JANUARY - Who will go, Who will stay and Who will arrive?

I think we were briefly linked in the summer? Strange one, as he's only gone to Atletico a few months ago. Obvious quality, not too sure where he'd fit into our side though. -
I'm still not sure I'd definitely take that. How many Premier League games has Kane started in his career? And I'm not a fan of Townsend at all. On the other hand it would give us a fair bit of depth to our squad and would hit Spurs in a way - their fans would be up in arms if they got rid of Kane.
-
I definitely don't think we'll do it, but just seen this thread, so out of this year's groups I'd take Real Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg and Anderlecht, something for everyone there.
-
Just seen it was referenced above. He's not going to recreate all that overnight at Tottenham!
-
Don't know if this has been posted yet. Wilso is normally fairly accurate. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/11236180/Who-is-Paul-Mitchell-and-why-have-Tottenham-Hotspur-prised-Southamptons-head-of-recruitment-away.html

I'm not sure if he'd have knowledge of contact details, is that really his area? I'm not sure how it'd work on things like this in the football industry, is he just going to walk out from us this week and straight into Spurs set-up? Or will he have a couple of months notice which he'll be put on gardening leave for?
-
But we've got Gardos and Yoshida as CB competition. And Targett as LB cover.
-
Can't see that at all, not sure how he'd fit into our side. Unless we don't thin we'll be able to hold on to Alderweireld, but we're a long way off that point at the moment anyway.
-
It's a hard one to call. How much input and impact has he had on our set up? Hard to know. Sort of bad timing with him having quite a big role in the Staplewood opening video, coming across well and then leaving a few weeks later.
-
I thought it was a good game as expected, great result for Wales. Horrific clash of heads towards the end. Fellaini is a vile player all round, loves his elbows that lad.

Its an amazing record, I doubt any club has managed even close to something similar. Add in Schneiderlin getting his France debut and Fonte getting called up for Portugal (I reckon he might get a debut against Argentina this week), the record is even more impressive. To answer your question fully, I'm not sure Ward-Prowse will quite make it to international level, but he's got loads of time to prove me wrong.
