We already 'cherry pick' some bits we don't like - we don't have the Euro. Why are we able to trade successfully with other parts of the world without having to completely open our borders to them?
-
How did we survive before? How are Norway and Switzerland able to be successful still?
-
You're right, it's probably just a coincidence that UCL happened to produce this report. What are your thoughts on it's figures on non-EU migrants contribution to our economy?
-
Ridiculous that the club announced it sold out, but in reality there are still tickets for sale. The cynical side of me would suggest a crafty ploy to shift a few more of the corporate priced tickets.
-
The report produced by UCL, that receive sizeable subsidies from the EU? Missing the point as to why Ukip are popular and relevant anyway.
-
Excellent wording of that plaque, very poignant.

No thanks. Love the bloke, and he still has Saints Legend status for us, but we've moved on. I just think it would feel a regressive step.

Should the contract of employment not already specify such terms?
-
I think as part of the opening, they'll confirm the training ground will be "Marcus Liebherr Academy" or something like that.

Such an allround odd article. Who deemed Jim White to be worthwhile as a judge? Our attendances haven't gone up this season either, so he's wrong on that. I wouldn't have Villa or Spurs that low either. What couts against our atmosphere is the same as our major positive - it is all focused in a few blocks and not around the whole ground. Means we're fairly consistent at maing a good bit of noise, but never gets the whole ground involved like some other places.

Not much more to add, apart from echoing the earlier comments of others that the display was an absolute defensive masterclass in terms of shape, focus, teamwork - really impressive.

Any decent Hull forums that are worth a read?

Saints vs Sheffield Utd (A) Capital One Quarter Final
Sour Mash replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
It will definitely, 100% make General Sale. -
The interview is on BBC 1 Football Focus I think.

"We're more fluid than Barcelona"

I think this will be a very tough game. Stoke have got a fair amount of strength in depth. Tough ground to get anything from at the best of times. Being able to beat the same side twice in a week, not easy.
-
He was injured tonight I believe. One of the reasons why I think we replaced him - a bit injury prone for a keeper.

Pochettino asks Levy to sign Jay Rodriguez
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Agreed, I'd go as far to say that he owes us a newly signed contract - unfortunately modern football doesn't work that way. Does it seem like there are a new round of Spurs/Saints articles, just after another very poor result for Tottenham. -

Sorry, got to disagree with that. Clyne has been excellent this year, an improvement even on last season I would say.
-
That's the way the ground works though; from the Itchen you can't necessarily hear the Kingsland North/Northam.
-
For various reasons and under different regimes, the Itchen corner atmosphere has been ruined a bit by the club. Some of the best St marys atmospheres were around 2008 I think when the Itchen North all stood blocks 1, 2 and 3.
-
Most of our support was "cringeworthy" you say? So you'd include the 15 minutes of OWTS non-stop in the 2nd half within that? Furthermore, how did that correlate with your suggestion that the Itchen North takes the p**s out of away fans constantly? You ask for an "anthem" that the whole ground can sing - what is wrong with OWTS? That is our "anthem". Large parts of St Marys don't sing full stop anyway. We've got a fair array of songs, the same as most clubs really. Which grounds have you been to over the last couple of years that are better?
