Because no-one is interested in watching them play. Most other clubs manage to be successful without having a women's team. We've got a higher percentage of female support than most clubs, despite them having a female team, so there is no correlation between the two.

Why should the club subsidise Sunday League level football?
-
I don't think the Serbs actually behaved badly considering the context and the provocation. I'm not up to speed on the issue, but was surprised that the Albanians decided to be provocateurs in this incident.
-
Anyone watch it and see how he played?
-
Did Tadic get stuck in at all? Guess its bad news for us, as hell have to head out and play another international some time this season.
-
I thought it was a load of cr@p. Mane physically strong for example?
-
I only switched on at half time, in the hope of watching a bit of Tadic, was wondering why half time was taking so long until I turned on twitter. I hadn't thought about the potential hostility between the two, Kosovo etc.

Yes, exactly. What would you think if you were Clyne? Chambers wasn't even in the original England squad, yet Clyne can't get a kick against San Marino or Estonia. On a separate, but related matter, how bad has Hodgson's management of the Sterling situation been? Embarrassing.
-
Its not rewriting history. Look at the article by "Premier League Owl" posted above and more usefully the comments on the article, they sum up the situation well. The fact that Clyne didn't get to play one minute against either Estonia or San Marino is unbelievable. Who has Hodgson played at right back ahead of Clyne now - Jones, Smalling, Stones, Chambers - how many of them even have a liely future in the game as a right back? But Hodgson sees it as more worthwhile that intergrating Clyne into the team at all.

Why would it have a terrible impact on our economy?

You've completely lost me now, what show was put on at Wembley on Friday? Press conference? Not sure what that has to do with selling tickets, home games are fairly cheap and hardly anyone there supports the big London clubs.
-
I just listened to half an hour build up on Radio 5 with Jermaine Jenas, Graham Taylor and Terry Butcher, all of them keen to emphasise how excited they are about England's approach and performances so far in these qualifiers. Unbelievable!
-
That is a terrible quote, utterly clueless from Hodgson.
-
Its not corruption. It is concious/sub-concious lazy small mindedness. Bloody poor regardless, Hodgson is a very poor, uninspiring figure head for the national team. Ridiculous that there has been recent discussion regarding the "Rooney Rule" coming in to English football, but the real concern should be the real lack of English Managers getting the opportunity or performing in the English game currently. There is no competition or threat to someone like Hodgson.

Whether foreign games are more atmospheric is a matter of debate, but fans shouting the surname of players after the PA has announced the first name really isn't going to make a positive difference in any way.
-
In all seriousness, if someone is visiting England wants to see the "real" country, going to places like Coventry, Swindon, Wolves, Derby etc will give a much better representation of every day life, than the usual popular tourist trails of London, Bath, Brighton and Cambridge etc etc.
-
And Northern Ireland only managed a 2-0 win against the Faroe Isles!
-
Not been a great round of games for our internationals, with Clyne and Forster not getting a game, Long not getting on for Ireland and Pelle not getting on for Italy. I flicked between the Serbia and Romania games, neither of our players particularly stood out in poor results for their sides.
-
Ha ha, top stuff, I don't follow him, will take a look now.
-
What does that even mean? Easy for you to say as you're not giving up a well paid job for a "sense of duty".
-
Won't be the full allocation, will be 2.5k. Sunderland subsidised their tickets, knocking a tenner off I think (is the £200k Premier League away fund per club running again this year?). Still a good effort though.
-
Can't you make a judgement from watching him play?
-
Very funny that. Also, did anyone see Ian Abrahams (Moose off Talk Sport) tweet today and the subsequent comments he got from Skates. They need to make their minds up, do they want a shiny new ground (not going to happen anyway) or are they happy to be in League 2 where its "real" football.
-
F*****g hell, that first clip in particular, since when have a proud old club with tons of history like Rangers ended up with its supporters badly mimicking Italian Ultras, ridiculous.
-
Sorry, I thought your post was supporting the notion of national apathy towards the national team, if that wasn't your point I've got no idea what it was.
