    Mane

Yeah, definitely agree on that, thank f**k we never got saddled with Townsend.

    Mane

I don't think he'll ever entirely cut out the offsides, part and parcel of that approach always trying to gain that yard off the back of a defender's shoulder. Looks a good player though and definitley offers us something different. If you look at Pelle, Tadic and Mane, for each one it's clear what they're in the team to provide, very different players that each offer something.
  3. What does being a "psychopath" have to do with anything. Eric is spot on with his assessment, it was clear as day at the end of season awards.
  4. I thought Hoillett looked a real threat when he came on, caused us problems - yesterday went to show that QPR have some half decent players that their management don't always get the most out of.
  5. 100% spot on.
  6. Probably more than any other position on the football pitch, the Centre Back pairing is about building up a partnership, getting used to how each other play, communication etc - its the one position you want to chop and change the least and all the best Centre Backs have became great as part of a partnership. Great to have quality options there, and there'll obviously be injuries and suspensions there, but Koeman will have to make some tough decisions on team selection in the coming months.
  7. I agree re Clyne (didn't think he had his best game yesterday and Tadic - I've been one of the few that have been a little critical of him, I find his final ball, crossing and shooting just lets him down a bit - somewhat like Lallana in that regard ironically. I think Pelle has been a good enough finisher for us overall this season, so not a problem in that regard, despite us missing a fair few chances yesterday. Didn't think there was too much of a problem with Pelle winning headers - I thought his holding up of the ball and link up play was good and is there a player that is better at chesting the ball off to a team mate? He just seems to have the knack for that. My only two criticisms yesterday were we struggled to manage the game out when we went 2-1 up, didn't boss the ball and keep possession and see the game out and aligned to that we did knock the ball long a bit too much at times.
  8. Agreed, I thought he struggled a bit, Zamora bullied him a bit in the last 20 mins. Not seen enough of either yet, but thought Gardos might have been a better option for this one. Good learning experience for him on what even the weaker teams in the PL can produce.
  9. There was still a fair few empty rows available late last night. All depends what the walk up today is like.
  10. You actually might not be that far off the truth, I can see it being tougher than expected. Hopefully our fans get behind the side if that's the case and don't start 'showing their frustration' as happened against West Brom.
  11. Do you still want KL to "f**k right off"?
  12. The game has been confirmed as Wednesday the 29th.
  13. It is a long trek, still could be close to 4 hours each way stuck on a coach, with an even longer journey a few days later, that's not easy to manage.
  14. Did you go to Liverpool away? And see the reaction to Lovren? Or the reception Lallana got when he bumped into a group of Saints fans at the airpor on his way to Liverpool?
  15. It is the majority of supporters though.
  16. I've seen nothing from Gallagher to suggest he can do much in terms of holding the ball up, link up play, or particularly strong in the air. We'd massively miss Pelle's presence if he got injured.
  17. My only concern is that he seems to be playing every minute of every game for us, that will start to catch up with him over the course of the season and will carry a good chance of getting knocks, while we don't have anyone that can do a remotely comparative job for us - completely changing the way we play.
  18. Mane will get acquainted with his role by playing more. I fully expect him to start, Koeman seemed very happy with his impact from Tuesday night.
  19. I wouldn't go as far as saying Koeman has been working miracles yet, Tuesday night was great, but it's still been a handful of league games played so far and one of those was the West Brom at home game! Would love a chance in the Europa League though, would be fantastic.
  20. Yes, but if you look at the Arsenal line-up we beat and compare it to the line ups Man City and Chelsea put out there is a big, big difference in my opinion.
  21. Cheers. Found the full 90 on that Football Origin website as well.
  22. Who isn't enjoying the good times?
  23. Is there any chance this game will be played on the Weds and not the Tues that week?
  24. Long trek, tough game, a trek up to Hull on the Saturday, yes there are worse draws out there, but this isn't great.
  25. Home draws for Spurs and Liverpool, plus Chelsea and Man City lookig very dominant, definitely an uphill struggle for any other sides.
