  1. But Wanyama went off for Long, by taking off a defensive midfielder for a forward will always leave us more open.
  2. An interesting view and point on our wins with VW starting this season. I can't make up my mind on the VW versus Cork argument.
  3. What the hell are you on about? Pochettino didn't even get that much stick yesterday.
  4. We've played them 5 times now since we've come back up and we haven't got a single point off them, beaten by one goal every time. They were a touch better than us yesterday, but no great shakes.
  5. I've never looked at a match thread before, do people really fill them up with this?
  6. Do you really just think he's been 'lucky' to find an audience? I don't care much for the show and therefore rarely watch, but it's obviously an extremely popular and successful show the world over, and it's easy to see why. You put it down to bigotry, can you list out all these occurrences? His use of the N word was obviously wrong, but I can't think of too many other examples of outright bigotry?
  7. That is a very good read, it has to be said.
  8. Gardos has been confirmed as being available for Sunday. Wanyama is in the Kenya squad I thought?
  9. Almost tempted to agree to a point, don't like the bloke, but last week we had Redknapp, this week MP, better off actually focusing on Koeman who has been utter class for us so far. Only question I have, when you say "don't boo", I guess you mean no "Who the f**k is Pochettino" songs etc, rather than actual booing of the opposition manager, which never really happens anyway.
  10. Loads of people love it the world over, it's a massively popular programme and a great success for the BBC.
  11. Schneiderlin or Pelle would fit the description, but I'd find it hard to believe that no other sources had got hold of this rumour apart from Pancake's mate if it's actually true.
  12. I'm not sure you understand the point. Has our focus on using and resourcing the academy changed from what you can see? I'm going to be lazy and copy and paste my previous post; How many other Premier League clubs had three academy graduates on the bench last weekend? And that's before taking into consideration three sold in the summer. And one out injured.
  13. Not really incredible. He's improved massively in the last couple of years, even this season from last it could be argued he has improved. Remember he was behind Yoshida and Hooiveld in the pecking order at times!!! But that just goes to his credit even more - there probably aren't too many better examples of someone continuing to work hard, focus and improve themself - an even better example than Lambert it could be argued.
  14. F*****g hell, there is no way you're being serious here.
  15. How many other Premier League clubs had three academy graduates on the bench last weekend? And that's before taking into consideration three sold in the summer. And one out injured. The level required to make it at the top is so high, that only a very small percentage will every really make it and the margins are so small, even getting one player through every two years for example, would be an excellent achievement. The question is, does the focus look the same and are the processes that have been successful kept going? It looks like the answer is yes, that's all we can really ask for.
  16. He doesn't need "a lot of game time", but he will need some and at least a couple of goals at some point. As I stated, he's lucky at the moment, there is so little competition for the forward places, could well be different if Andy Carroll was fit and playing.
  17. Why is that a problem? And the "bestest" haven't "deemed themselves" to be worth more than twice as much now as they were 40 years ago.
  18. Completely agree. And anyway, for any of us, paying 40% of what we earn is disgusting if we stop and think about it - that's before all the tax we shell out on other stuff, it is crazy.
  19. I don't begrudge him his move, but it'll be interesting to see for how much longer he retains his place in the England squad, based on his involvement at Liverpool so far. Guess hes lucky there is such a lack of available forwards at the moment.
  20. I think we'll park this theory alongside the rest of your insightful posts on this site over the last year.
  21. On the subject of new developments in the city, does anyone know how far the new development by Ocean Village is from opening? And the refurb of the old Wool House building into a bar/brewery?
  22. For something that severe you should probably report the establishment to the relevant authorities, as you're unlikely to be the first or last.
  23. Only an absolute wally like you can take that view.
