  1. Agreed. They gave us a really tough time in the first half at theirs this season and have been much better than Spurs today.
  2. Spurs really on the back foot against Swansea, ball just not dropping for Bony.
  3. I generally agree. I wasn't as much a fan of Tadic as most in the early weeks of the season, but the bloke still has enough quality to make a difference, we've seen that. Mane however I'm not sure. My gripe with Koeman continues to be him getting picked ahed of Long, I just can't see it. No reason for Tadic to be particularly tired.
  4. The thing is I think at least Tadic and Pelle, even when off form get involved and make things happen a bit, Mane doesn't.
  5. Just back indoors now, long day out as always with Burnley. I thought we were comfortably the better team, not just in the flow of the game, but we just looked "better" throughout - but we lost 1-0 so it counts for absolute nowt. How the f**k we lost to them I'll never know. Clyne, Bertrand, Davis and Alderweireld good for me. Mane poor yet again, nothing new there. I think we'll bounce back, but a big test on Tuesday, then a generally tough question where we fall in the league, fine margins with 5/6/7/8 places potentially I guess.
  6. I can't see where Garcia would fit in for us at all. Zarate as back up off the bench sort of makes sense, but I still can't quite see that one working for all parties either.
  7. Last time I checked the Skates were home in the league to Tranmere on the Sat, don't know if its because of policing results. And not sure if Tranmere are still in the comp/ Guess it suits us for the Sunday anyway.

Any examples of players coming back to their original performances to a sustained period after such an injury?
  9. Recently? 2002 is 12 years ago! And only 5 years from the Everton game. 1990/1 6-2 away to Derby 1991/2 4-0 home to Leeds, 4-0 home to Arsenal, 5-1 away to Arsenal 1992/3 5-2 away to Sheffield Weds 1993/4 4-0 away to Arsenal 1994/5 5-1 away to Newcastle. Our away record in particular used to be terrible. Amazing looking back how many games we used to lose full-stop.
  10. United didn't look like Underdogs, they looked like an underperforming team with a class striker. There isn't much 'luck' to it.

just makes the idea of big bids coming in for him more mental.
  12. Great ticket prices, absolutely spot on. Should be a crowd of 20k+.
  13. that applies to night games, but there are still ridiculous numbers of early leavers on Saturday 3pm games.
  14. Huge away following by our standards at the time for somewhere like Everton, as we'd beaten Man Utd 6-3 the week before! Every season we'd get well hammered at least once or twice. Doesn't happen as much full stop these days, but used to pretty much take it in our stride back then.
  15. Definitely more leaving early now than last time we were in the Prem, ridiculous the amount that walk out regardless of the score.
  16. Yeah, so it could be moved to the Monday and hasn't been "moved" to any date yet.
  17. F*****g hell, 20 years ago, unbelievable. I did like our mid-90s side, Le Tiss in his prime and a fair few characters in the mix. Got thrashed away a couple of times a season, god knows what the reaction would be like on here to some of our away performances, different era I guess.
  18. Don't know why they didn't go for Sanchez and/or Fabregas.
  19. The amount of people leaving our games early is ridiculous. Even the Sunderland game a fair few people were streaming out. God knows what the players think.
  20. I'm not even going to check up on her background, it doesn't change the point.
  21. I'm happy enough with the draw, tough, but winnable game. We could do without a long trip, with Newcastle and Man Utd already on the cards.
  22. There is certainly some truth in what you say, but isn't it a bit of balancing out across the course of the season? We didn't exactly have loads of chances away at Hull or Swansea, but came away with wins from both.
  23. Yep, it may sound hypocritical, but I'd love to see him come away with a serious injury from one of his "challenges".
  24. Felaini gets away with murder week after week. Leads with his elbow time and time again. Can't stand him.
  25. In January? I think you might be disappointed.
