    Big vic!

I don't particularly have a problem with his pass completion rate or the job he does, just the amount he asks from others. If you were playing CB, you'd love someone like that in front of you - but he does so little else of any worth for us. Can we progress playing such a player? Asks a lot of Schneiderlin and the rest of the team, but guarantees a few clean sheets.
  2. Poor journalist and sounds like a half hearted story. then look what his actual source is......... I'd be very surprised if Lallana goes.
  3. Not really, just a gentle reminder that we're still chuckling at their plight. Well worth the investment.
  4. Bizarre from Toure. Does he think he should be considered on a par with Messi?
  5. It was a terrible article all told, but fairly amusing at the same time. Why the Editor decided to run with that I'll never know.
  6. Not Sports Direct? I think you're unnecessarily talking down their contribution to the city.
  7. Which areas of town have they revitalised?
  8. England as a whole and Southampton has moved on a great deal since then, huge Polish population in some parts unfortunately.
  9. Ultimately one of THE iconic days in Saints history though. I don't know a single Saints fan that was there that day that doesn't at least flinch at the mention of the day, then roll off a story or two........ got to be a few good ones from the Saints Web community?
  10. The amount of bites to be had on this forum
  11. Brilliant achievements there. Who else on the list? Got to fancy Shaw winning his award.
  12. Yep and I reckon that picture was taken circa 1992. Do people, even in Scotland, still look like that?
  13. It may be a case of emphasis being lost in translation a bit, but I'm surprised more hasn't been made on here of one of our midfielders being so critical of his £12m+ midfield partner.
  14. I think we'll definitely bring in a new striker, with Osvaldo leaving and the Rodriguez situation.
  15. Man United are still a very attractive club for top players toplay for; the lack of European football won't help, but they're in a great position to renew their ageing team - just depends how well they manage it.
  16. Does he really say that? Schneiderlin seems to say what he wants to the press these days!
  17. We've always struggled to sell 3k for an awaygame further than London, still sounds like good numbers sold for Saturday so can't complain.
  18. But that's the point, loads of English fans don't buy the short or a programme. And we can't drink beer throughout the game as they do in German grounds.
  19. They pretty much all buy at least one new shirt, a new scarf, other bits of tatt, most people I know at Saints have been to the club shop once or twice in their lives. Add to that the Germans buy beer and food throughout the game. It all adds up over the year. .
  20. So a couple of hundred pounds across the year - I'd say quite a few German football fans come close to doing that.
  21. How much are their equivalent tickets?
  22. Good interview, I like the way he comes over.
  23. Good job then that no-one has suggested we aren't playing in the FA Cup next season or that we'd definitely beat Sunderland or get to Wembley.
  24. Our manager and his choice of first XI. How many other games has Sam McQueen came on when we're chasing a win so far this season?
  25. The only player I'm worried about is Schneiderlin, get the impression his ambition is taking him elsewhere and very hard player to replace. Think the other first choice players will stay. I think we'll off-load Osvaldo, just won't get the deal we were hoping from Juve, but somewhere in Europe will take a punt on him at say £7/8m and if we get the same again for Ramirez I'd be happy with that, should in theory free up a fair bit of transfer fee and wages to reinvest.
