  1. I don't have a great deal of time for our ex-pat communities either and I don't doubt they should make a much bigger effort to integrate. However, it really isn't comparable, due to the scale of the problem in this country. We're not talking about small communities here, but vast swathes of our major cities that have been completely taken over by cultures completely alien to those of ordinary English people. The simple fact is that this county has allowed far too much immigration, in too short a time for it to ever work in practice.
  2. They've probably been told to say that to push people into buying Donny tickets. They are useless at times down there.
  3. All fans want their club to do well. There is more to football than just winning games - hence why you have so many disenfranchised supporters of clubs such as Man Utd and Chelsea. If you ever read an account of a great game by a player, manager, or fan, they'll invariably talk as much about the support, crowd, atmosphere as the game itself. Imagine the '76 final if there had not been one Saints fan there and the ground.only had Man Utd supporters in it - the day would never be remembered anything like it still is to this day.
  4. Nah, just valuing your club's travelling support & not sniping about them from behind a keyboard.
  5. But then you're typical of the boring, middle aged, middle class 'fans' that dominate these forums but have little in common with the ordinary, match going supporter.

  7. Lot more choice around town. Always found it very limited around the ground.
  8. You've got to be joking? How thick would that be? Also, if block 43 gets opened for Saints fans for the Donny game, that we could sell more match tickets for that game than would be available for the Skates match?
  9. Cheers mush!
  10. Which bit of Hull is classed as the "Old Town"?
  11. Just for a laugh I think.
  12. Take a stroll along Shoreditch High Street, they're not too hard to find
  13. Or just get up there a bit early and go for a fry up.
  14. Borough is probably the best area in London for beers/pubs - can't imagine it would lower itself to getting involved in any of the rubbish that comes with St Paddys day.
  15. Great news that.
  16. Ha ha, unfortunately I believe you mate
  17. Be a good trip this one mate Hotel and return train for under £25, can't complain at that.
  18. Or posting up pictures you've found on the net. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of opportunities to add more while the rest of us are out at the forthcoming Saints games........
  19. For games where fans are fearing missing out on tickets, have they looked at going on the home teams website and maybe buying a kids or OAPs ticket (whichever is cheapest) to get themselves on the database, therefore possibly buying a few when we play there? Just a suggestion like? Rather than leaving it to the week before to find its database only etc.
  20. Does a diverse social life include over 19,000 posts on a football forum?
  21. Peterborough on a Tuesday or London on a Saturday?
  22. It "suggests" that it would be an option, as otherwise they would have just said "No" outright. Guess if we sell out the upper tier quickly, suggesting we'll be able to put a fair few in the lower tier, making extra stewarding etc worthwhile, they'll probably open it.
  23. Exactly. What do the mods do on here? There is a perfectly good away section on here
  24. Remember it being 65p a pint of Stones Bitter, 85p a pint of Carling, always had a good crack in there to be fair, think it made The Sun one year as the cheapest pub in Britain. Surprised so many are stopping in Newcastle, it's a fair trek to and from M'Boro.
  25. 30/40 mins walk, 15 mins in a bus with all the queues, 10mins if you can jump in a cab.
