SHould go to a German game, they really know how to do it. It's small issues, but it's these kind of things that the club miss, not having any form of discussion with fans. There is plenty of scope to get more money out of us if they actually were a bit sharper on this sort of thing.
-
What's funny about that?
-
That would be rubbish. See what would happen if we got an important goal.
-
They did have those stalls open for one game a few weeks ago and made a massive difference. Its never going to be easy serving beers and food to thousand odd people in such a short period, but they could do so much better and they do lose out on money as a result of being so inefficient. Our own fans don't help much at times. Queued for a while a few weeks ago, bloke one in front of me gets to the front of the queue, then decides the right moment to look up and see what is on offer and to take his time deciding what he might fancy. Absolute cretin.

I know where you're coming from and the thing that p****s me off is how empty the ground is by the 90th minute during a good win, but the problem is the length of queues to get anything to eat or drink in the Northam is an absolute joke. Even worse now they often open bloke 43 to home fans as its another 1k of people squashed into the same concourse. If you got down on the half-time whistle you barely move, let alone grab a pie and pint. The club are missing out on money that I'd spend at half time if they could actually get a system that worked. For all those people that say "well why can't you wait until you're back in the pub after a game", everyone knows that once you've had a few pints before the game and have got the taste, it's always too tempting to grab a quick one to keep the day going.

I say keep it open. I've found it informative and amusing.
-
To be fair, you do genuinely make me laugh fella.
-
Can you just clarify what this group was doing that was particularly wrong?
-
Good shout that, would be a decent buzz to be fair.
-
Got to be done. Free entry as well, will keep us out of the pubs for half an hour.
-
Guarantee it won't be anything exciting.

Standing isn't unlawful. It's pretty much accepted as part of an away day that our support stands and is much better for it (anyone see Derby's support at SMS Saturday just gone to see what support all sat down looks and sounds like). Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're unable to stand, there are disabled tickets available for most games and a damn sight cheaper than the regular tickets! Certainly no reason for anyone to be abusive towards fellow Saints fan though.
-
Got to say fair play West Ham. Thought they looked very good against us when it was 11 v 11 & then limited our chances once down to 10 men, then last night getting that result against someone like Blackpool playing half the game without a keeper - hate to say it, but that's the sign of a championship winning team.
-
If you're on the ball, you'll still get a ticket for the Cov game, surely you'd agree though, that fans that do the less glamorous games get first pick.of seats?
-
No you won't 'have' to. You'll only 'have' to if you want first pick of the tickets.
-
Looks like that 'Final 10' promotion died on its @rse (I blame Guly). Don't think too many are going to rush for this deal immediately either, but we'll see.
-
Now if only there was still a fans forum or open communication with the club to raise such issues.............................
-
Agreed. It's not fair and doesn't make sense. They need to bring back membership.
-
Well even less reason for that to take priority over our game being on tv. Not massively bothered myself, would be good for those that can't make it for whatever reason though.
-
Link? That'll be close to £100k they'll have to come up with.
-
Yeah the last day of the SPL should be thrilling But yeah, I do see your point apart from that.
-
Don't give up that easily lad. Not the sort of defeatist attitude we need around the club for this end of season run in!
-
I think you're getting a bit confused lad.
-
Yeah, but that cup game was different in that block 42 was handed over to the Skates, therefore there was less of the home sections of the ground to sell, block 42 needed somewhere to move and they mainly chose the Itchen North. Northam wouldn't have looked that good, as most of it (more than a normal league game) had been handed over to the Skates. Was a cracking atmosphere over there for that game though.
