Main problem we had against Leeds was gettting hold of and keeping of the ball. Lallana would make a difference in that regard as often when the ball is played up to him, it sticks like glue and he'll buy us some time to push the back line-up and get players joining in the attack. However, it wasn't just down to the lack of Lallana. Cork didn't have a great game and Chaplow, Puncheon and Guly really aren't doing it at the moment. I'd give Cork a rest tomorrow and bring in Hammond, would probably give Guly a run out down the right. Can't see Sharp getting into the team as the Lambert/Lee partnership is working well.

The majority were sat because they were made to by the stewards. That's my point. On the right-hand side of our support at kick off was completely stood, within a minute it was 75% sat down as the stewards got busy. My lot had to move twice during the game to be able to remain standing, at no time were we blocking the views of others. You're right that most of the police were laid back, but then so they should be with hundreds on duty to cover what was a low-key, low-supported game, not surprised they were relaxed. Oh, apart from the copper standing at the front who was training his camera on different sections of our support every 2 minutes. Guess that's what the £36 match ticket goes towards paying for.

Even better effort in terms of support when you consider the huge levels of over the top stewarding and policing of the away end, with the aim of trying to bully supporters into sitting Down.

Yep, decent, self made bloke, putting his own money into his local club. Far better than the majority of football owners.
-
Maybe. But Fox has hardly been a 'revelation' as the OP suggested.
-
Was nowhere near that. Not put that much effort into supporting the team for a very long time. Hope it came across a bit.
-
And how will going on sky sports news help that?
-
Am I right in thinking he's basically saying 'Spend £50m and you can be popular in Portsmouth'?
-
Right. But why?

What's in it for Chanrai going on tv?

Interesting read that. As I posted yesterday, they must be looking at the figures and struggling to find a way of getting their money back.
-
Exactly. And who the f**k tries to get things 'trending'?
-
Has to be English. Definitely don't want 'Arry. I'd go for Pardew.
-
Because they're not getting paid their full whack at the moment, which they probably don't mind waiting for if they've got a CVA coming up, but no good if they're liquidated.

For those of us that don't get it, can you explain why it is fun? And not just attention seeking? -
Who the f**k at Cardiff negotiated that deal? Rubbish.
-
Could it be that some of the players have now realised that if they're liquidated they won't get much of the money they're owed at all?
-
But is it really £11million? Yes they've got players on over-inflated contracts but its far from impossible to shift them on over the summer one way or another. Then you have to take into consideration they do have some other income apart from the parachute payments. Still a bleak picture, but I'd be surprised if they aren't at least taking a look at the figures to see what they can wrangle.

F**k me, see some of the comments from Leeds fans on the Ugly Inside top ten, living up to their humourless, arrogant reputation there to be fair. -
It's a good point. Gadaymak and Chanrai need to make a few big decisions on whether it is worth the costs and hassle of keeping them going in order to get future moneis out of the Skates. Then there is the point of whether they would be allowed to get back involved running the club at all and how much they'll get back if they keep the club going for another year or so.

Bit off subject I know, but here's an article for those of you that think away support doesn't really matter...... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17223782

They should be pleased with 20k! Their crowds don't get anywhere near 30k these days and certainly won't for a price category "A" game live on tv.
