  1. I would agree with all of those and Gary Hooper for good measure..
  2. Will never forget how proud and elated I feel today
  3. I would love to think he is up there now with his pocket camera in his hand enjoying the moment.. We won it for Markus !!
  4. What a day !! Absolutely elated - What a club, what an owner, what a CEO, What a Manager, What a team !!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
  5. Foxstone

    Fonte....

He was fantastic today - He will raise his game for the Prem.
  6. Christ the "tango man parasite" certainly was deluded ! I think all he did for us was oversee boardroom riots and maximise his expense claims by jetting in from Portugal now and again.
  7. The moment when proper supportive songs and chants were superceded by the "fathers gun" every 5 minutes...
  8. Thanks Moff In my younger years, my best mate was a Sky Blue - One of the few around in the east of England I suspect but I remember watching the 1987 cup final with him on the pub TV and was cheering nearly as loudly as he was. He started the chant of "Killer Killer" when Kilcline lifted the cup and our entire pub joined in! While I hope ( and in all fairness expect us ) to win tomorrow, I wish you well in Division 1 and a speedy return back to the CCC. As others have mentioned, Div 1 can be a great experience ( no prawn sandwich brigades in sight), but it is a ***** of a league to get out of. Hopefully you will rid yourselves of these hedge fund morons and build again. Good luck after 3pm tomorrow
  9. Win it for Markus
  10. That was a summer of absolute madness - I don't thing TSF ( or its predecessor as was) was so busy in any summer before or since.. The greatest regret was that the threads ( which exceeded the Pompey thread in size and hits) was lost to the ether ! They were the most golden of golden threads.
  11. Don't think you have missed anything.. I am inclined to think that it is purely to pick off whatever he can, whether it be player sales - although like you I think he might be a bit optimistic here but I'm not sure how much he undertsands football anyway, so he perhaps does'nt get it that the current lot of big earners are not high on other clubs shopping list. Mixture of businessman and football naivety I think!
  12. Unlike the Skates, you have to admire them for the way they are trying to survive as a club. Saturday aside where I hope they crash and burn and we win ( no matter what the score might be), I wish them every success next season.
  13. I keep telling myself that if we had a choice of who to play on the final game of the season where we need a win to assure ourselves of promotion to the premiership, then Coventry would be my choice.
  14. Not many household names on there, but dismiss McSheffrey at our peril, Platt is a great big lump of a man who if given any areal service could cause problems and Norwood is decent. While there is nothing there that we cannot deal with, we must not disregard them lightly or treat them with dis-respect.
  15. 100% agree: The lads must be professional, positive, courageous but patient and we the fans must be 100% supportive for the entire match..
  16. Don't care as long as it happens.. After being at the top for so long it would be criminal to blow it now.
  17. Great Try ! Literal translation of burnt bread if anybody other than Trev is interested.
  18. Just another example to thank our lucky stars for Markus and Nicola... What a timely boost to go into tonights game full of pride and hope..
  19. Claridge has really matured as a pundit, totally honest and impartial - he tells it as he sees it ! He has been wholly objective about us and Portsmuff all season long and has given us every fair due, and the Skates a pasting when needed. Good on him I say ! Also to the "black and Whire Brigade ou there".. it might pay to remember that our FA Cup 1976 winner was scored by a Pompey Boy born and bred, so not all are bad are they?
  20. He was absolute carp... No Thanks !
  21. Administration would be an absolute disaster for us !! Very happy that "Saints go Wilde" !! Bradley Wright-Phillips would fire us back to the Prem.. Dean Richards was a poor makeweight when we did'nt sign Wetherall !! But in mitigation I always doubted Burley...
  22. Could not see us beating Hull but we did ! Blackpool away is the toughest game we have left IMO, and we will need to be disciplined and confident to come away with a win. I reckon it will be a draw and I would be very happy with that !
  23. he would go down well in the northern comedy clubs !! Stadium Infra-structure ??? He must mean the new clock and bog seat !
  24. Very good indeed and goes a long way to prove that we are where we are by being a team ! No one person is perfect but a team can be !
  25. Confirmed then that Chinny did put money into the club by way of loans - That's another of Corpy's assertions shot down in flames then !
