Potentially we have turned a corner ! I hope and pray that this is the catalyst that suddenly improves our fortunes and moves the club forward after 5 years of sh1t and mediocrity !
-
Strongly Agree !
-
And we will be bought by the creme de menthe of society !

In all walks of life the "Feelgood Factor" cannot be under-estimated.. We play well and start winning, coupled with a belief in our leaders, manager and coaching team and the crowds could edge towards 20k (even higher on occasions if you count Brighton as our new derby match for example). Note that there is a high proportion of matches with Southern English Clubs ( Brighton, Yeovil, Swindon, The Gas, Orient, Brentford, Charlton, Exeter that could generate a reasonable amount of away fans too.

I'm afraid the biggest (of many) downsides of being in Administration is that all choices and decisions are removed from us.. There is nothing we can do and We just have to wait in frustration I'm afraid.
-
There are very very few that I can see who have these "prejudices" as you put them - But a great many who are very happy to recognise and thank him for his generous financial lifeline and are more than capable of seeing the bigger picture - As long as the bigger picture does not include him being placed in a position of power at the club going forward. And that is a valid concern for the many who want to see a complete break from past failures and start afresh with brand new professional and capable people at the helm.
-
Whats the difference between him and Leon Crouch ? Both may have many shortcomings but at least they are trying to make a difference, and in different ways they may have ensured the club has a future.
-
Do you include those of us who recognise the good Crouch is currently doing and have recorded their thanks and appreciation for this, but do not wish him to be part of the decision making hierarchy at the club going forward ? Generosity should always buy gratitude but not necessarily favour !
-
Concur with that Phil. Leon does need to be recognised but I would certainly rather not have him in a decision making role at the club going forward. I really do want to see a clean sweep of all our failed past ! Westons suggestion further down is a good one.
-
Five highly relevant observations that do bring hope that we are not done for yet !
-
Honestly - I would take a consortium of Robert Mugabe and Osama Bin Laden if they save the club and take it forward again.
-
So does that also render Leon's appearances in the Echo ( IE: Like this mornings article) equally unreliable ?
-
Not saying its not bullshine but equally ( unlike you) I'm not saying its not true either.. Unless you have evidence that counter-acts this Echo Article ! Its certainly enough to raise a pertinent question....
-
No, I know you were not for him. Strange that you and Jonah have something in common eh ?
-
Concerned by the final paragraphs of this echo article.. Timing suggests that Leon was the non-executive mentioned alongside Trant ! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/untoldstories/4368366.Were_execs_right_all_along_/

Because many were duped by the Wilde revolution promulgated on the old S4E - And have no wish to be royally fecked up the bottom in a similar manner. Some on the other hand, would seem to welcome it !
-
I'm far too intelligent for that - I'm not being suckered in by your view either
-
I don't think anybody is slagging him off. But it is absolutely legitimate to criticise him for his part in our difficulties over the past 2 years or so - He of course being a senior member of the clubs hierarchy during that time when many mistakes were made. That said he generosity now is to be wholly commended.
-
Fair dues to Leon ! I wonder whether he has noticed that somebody has nicked the rolls of carpet from under his arms !
-
Indeed that is the case. For me it includes all our executive and non-executive directors over the past 6 years - And a couple of managers too !
-
I commend and thank Crouch for his generosity and activity in helping to keep the club alive during these dark times. Additionally while I would not object to him having a non-key decision maker role within the clubs hierarchy, I would still seriously baulk at the thought of him having a key decision making role though. As generous as he is, he remains a part of the successive failures of recent years and I very much wish to see an entire clean sweep at board level. Nevertheless to place on record - Thankyou Mr Crouch.
-
WHY ON EARTH DO YOU SAY THAT ! SFC's greatest ever player giving a damn as to the fate of his beloved club and endorses a consortium that might help us yet. Forgive me saying this but I think your view is an over-reaction !
-
Agree - But I think it is best for a clean sweep all round.

Cream always recognises Sour Milk ! Top man SCW..
