  1. A make weight in the early Bale payment from Spuds I suggest.. he is one lucky boy - Not many Pro's get offered a deal that long !!
  2. Late 40's I'm afraid but old enough to remember all the good times and the cheesy 70's songs and white caps ! And peace on you too my friend !
  3. Thats fine by me.... We need a saviour who is previously unconnected to this club - And these guys could well be it.
  4. Sugar Baby Love
  5. Now thats a valid point !
  6. Too lightweight ! Big money for a big risk that did'nt come off ! Wotton in Div 1 anyday....
  7. You crack me up I reckon you must have been a Monty Python script writer in your youth !
  8. I see the pubs are open early again !!
  9. Fair enough Corky and Saintstr1... But I hope this period of cleansing will be short to allow us plenty of time to think and talk positive about our club again, before the new season starts. Personally, I find the constant negative publicity that our club has generated for far to long now totally exasperating.
  10. While I have a degree of sympathy towards him I want Clean sweep of everything please... Wotte to go !
  11. There was plenty of naivety towards the "Lets Go Wilde" Revolution too amongst many other things.. This is not only going to be a history about the ineptitude of Lowe - It will include Wilde, Crouch, Burley, Hone and others too ! Still interested ?
  12. For me its just the sheer disbelief that we have been saddled with such a string of incompetent buffoons - At board level and at managerial level ( Strachan and Pearson apart) over the past 5 to 6 years, that leads me to not want to remember any of them. We must have run over a whole herd of black cats to have been so unlucky to attract such dregs and it gives me no pleasure to analyse any of them. However for those that want to, help yourself !
  13. Lets Go Wilde !!! No, Lets Not !!
  14. Ditto ! Also, whose side of the story is all of this ? The blame lies with a whole variety of characters IMO and I'm fecked off with the whole lot of them. I just want of them all gone and the past is consigned to the sh1t piece of history it is, and we can start again with professional, capable and sensible people in charge at this club.
  15. My sentiments too Frank ! Added to that the fact I am getting increasingly sick and tired of the sheer division and "internal politics" of this club being played out so openly and repeatedly in the media. And Leon is up to his neck in that just as much as Lowe is...
  16. Well the implication was certainly that they were permanently appointed." For the forseeable future" certainly gave no impression that we were looking at other options at that time. Things only seemed to hot up after that embarrassing televised beating from "The Gas" of Bristol Rovers. During that entire 6 month stretch of Leons stewardship, he never gave the impression that he was in control of events - He would probably be a very vocal and effective leader of the oppostion but a very bad leader.
  17. Just speaking for myself Duncan, but I am very angry with everybody who has held a position of power at this club over the past 5 years and that includes Crouch aswell as Lowe, Wilde, Hone, Dulieu and others - And that anger is not particularly differentiated into degrees of blame as they all at various times and at various levels have contributed to the demise of this wonderful club I support. Whether it be by poor decision making, by saddling the boardroom with constant and destructive division and dis-unity or by constantly briefing against each other in the media causing rifts amongst the supporters in the process - And there are plenty of other reasons on top of these to lament the day when any of these blithering idiots crossed the threshold of the SFC Boardroom. I am just royally fed up with all of them and I just do not want to see any of them near a position of influence at this club again. A new start with professional, capable new people at the helm is our best chance of us rising from the ashes.
  18. The half brother of Fred Goodwin and Steve Godwin ??!!!
  19. I too would not buy a chicken and mushroom pie ever again - It would be Steak and Kidney for me and bloody well serve them right ! Totally agree with your assessment on Walter Mitty too !
  20. I attended during Lowe's first time here, then Wilde then Hone then Crouch and again during Lowe's second tenure. I think the whole lot of them are blithering idiots and lament how we have been so unlucky to have been saddled with them all. But the club is bigger than any individual and I will not boycott...
  21. His biggest mistake was not learning from Rupert's biggest mistake by promoting a caretaker manager from within and "far too quickly" annointing them with full managerial status only to quickly realise that he was no up to it - Despite a great many people knowing that in the first place. He is part of the problem as he has been part of the club for the past two years in greater or lesser degrees and he had his chance to put it right when he had his 6 months in charge - he failed ! I commend him for his financial input and his clear passion for the cause. but he is in no way suitable to lead this club back from the wilderness.
  22. As long as you were'nt writing "teh" Autocue Frank ! ;-)
  23. Amen Brother After our survival. these are the most imporatnt words for me !
  24. I'm ambivalent either way. I would rather leave it to our new Owners/Board to decide whatever they think is best for the club.
