Meslier is a poor keeper, very error prone, hence why Leeds have ditched him on promotion. In our last Championship season, I believe statistically only Bazunu was worse than him. He does make more saves than Baz though. It shows you can get promoted with a sub-standard goalkeeper, but you need to be scoring goals at the other end. We did that last time, think we might struggle with that this time around.

We were in terminal decline under Gao, it's only thanks to Ralph that we didn't get relegated sooner than we did. But it was coming even without the takeover as we had no money to spend. SR have made a mess of things but we'd have been relegated under Gao too before long.

Norwich want around £20M for Sargent and he has Premier League interest. Signing proven Championship goalscorers when you're in the Championship is very difficult, besides which we already have a few in our ranks. Whoever we sign will be a gamble but Downs looks like a good profile.
