We went 7 games unbeaten after Tonda took charge, including the 1-5 win at Charlton, while playing a back 3. We did then go 7 without a win, but he made an immediate difference.

The Henry Nowak case is sickening.

Excellent policy, love seeing the hypocrisy of the Greens exposed. You want to welcome asylum seekers? Fine, have them on your doorstep.

You're not wrong there. Obviously the last few months has been fun but exhausting too, with so many big games in quick succession. And still more to come. I'll actually be glad to have a break from it all. Was surprised Tonda didn't make more subs last night. We looked absolutely knackered the last 15-20 minutes.

Why would they feel silly protesting against the presence of sex offenders being housed in the community who shouldn't be in the country?
-
Well, it still could. One way of looking at it is that if we beat Ipswich, we will still be in with a (probably very slim) chance of the autos on the final day, regardless of other results.

Thank you, yes they do indeed show in my booking history.

Managed to get three tickets after a few hurdles to jump. No problems with f&f being greyed out. But nearly an hour later I still haven't received the confirmation email, anyone else not received their's?

Have to pinch myself looking at the table! Second is still an outside bet but it's possible. Larin was brilliant tonight, and big shout out to Archer too. Pleased for him.

Wow, I can't quite believe we're watching the same team as a few months ago. Players and management deserve all the credit they're getting. Would have been easy to let levels drop tonight after the Arsenal game but not a hint. Simply outstanding. Shout out to the away fans too, heard loud and clear throughout. COYR!

Just because you call yourselves Antifa doesn't mean you're anti fascist. "Antifa" are complete scum.

Not seeing any evidence of the bestest atmosphere in world football at the tip. Apart from a few clowns banging a drum it's like a morgue.

I have to be honest, I didn't really feel enthused about this game before hand and wanted us to concentrate on getting promoted. But as soon as I stepped foot inside St Mary's you could feel the energy and it just felt like something special was going to happen. So so proud of the team, manager and players. What a job Tonda has done. That was a mammoth performance and we totally deserved that win against a strong Arsenal side. Fuck it, let's concentrate on the cup, who cares about the PL anyway!

Not to mention the fact that Sweden made the playoffs and qualified because of their performance in the Nations League, despite finishing bottom without a win in their qualifying group.

If we had started the season with Peretz and Larin…
LuckyNumber7 replied to Toussaint's topic in The Saints
To be fair, I don't think many people were bothered about loaning out Bree in the summer as he'd hardly been great for us before. However he's looked transformed ever since returning, looks a much more confident player than he did before. Certainly made me re-evaluate him. Every transfer is a gamble, there's no sure thing. Liverpool spent over £120M each on Wirtz and Isak in the summer and both have flopped. As you say it's a fine line. Who knows what happens if Downs gets the confidence boost of putting away that chance against Wrexham on opening day. -
Sign him up. Love the guy.

About time some on here start giving him the respect he deserves. He's doing a fantastic job and completely did a number on Lampard today. At this rate we'll struggle to hold onto him.

EFL to vote on extending the Championship playoffs

I have thought about that before and like it in theory, but it could mean you just get teams setting out to play for a draw. -

As opposed to the teams that finish below them who have an extra round to get through. So it gives more chance to the teams finishing higher. At worst it's no change for the teams in 3rd and 4th, while making it a little harder for the teams below that but giving more teams something to play for. I don't see any downside. -

Good, makes things more exciting for more teams, and benefits the teams finishing 3rd and 4th. We might need it next season. -
Agree with this and I'd say it's largely since the Pompey game. Everyone was expecting our players to wilt and crumble, but they didn't and actually put in a proper shift and stood up to be counted. We've been good since. The additions of Peretz and Larin, and Bree coming back and playing well have made a huge difference. We're starting to look like a team again.
-
What rubbish. You mean like Will Still did, winning 2 of his 13 games? And if you think we have the best squad in the league, you're deluded. We do have some good individual players, but so do other teams. Honestly I'm not sold on Tonda yet, but he's doing a pretty decent job on the whole. I feel like we could win every remaining game and some of you would still be moaning about him.
-
Of course, it's all everyone else's fault. Everything will be fine in 10 years.
-
Well they were stupid enough to vote in this current shambles. Hopefully you're right about the NHS. It's a complete money drain.

Yeah it's weird, but I guess there's just more southern teams than northern teams at that level. Merthyr in there too. Northernmost team in National League South is Hemel Hempstead.
