One thing the article fails to realise is they are still doing it now

Yep it's a known bug. It causes regular corruption of gamesaves. I know their working on a fix for it along with other bugs. I had it once although I'd only got to China before I found out about it. Since I've stopped doing the R&D tests I've got to Singapore without any further problems.
-
They reckon AA's + lawyer's fees total to around £2 million.
-
Are you doing R&D challenges by any chance?

pfc123 IS Peter Storrie
-
or go into Chainrai's back pocket As for closing this thread, the CVA payments don't even start til March. There will be a lull yes but there's a long way to yet
-
I think I actually asked the same question myself about 250 pages back
-
you're assuming the club will even see that money
-
Hm we aren't the only ones
-
LOL too late. It's as if Peter Storrie never left the club
-
I am very encouraged by the start Adkins has made, we would NEVER have won that game playing like that last season.

I disagree IMO If they go up, he will bleed them dry, if they fail, he will bleed them dry Even if they go up it doesn't make them a financially attractive proposition for a buyer. Their wages are absolutely crippling them at the moment. If they try and add to their wage bill and follow the "Peter Storrie book of financial management", and sign Riquelme on 80 grand a week they'll end up having winding up orders flying at them. That's if their current wage bill doesn't cause this to happen. Besides the PL would be horrified if Pompey went back up again, they have an image to protect. As Dark Munster would say I could see brown paper envelopes changing hands and Pompey being deducted points over the Storrie/'arry'/MM tax evasion case regardless, anything to stop them going up.

MORE money??!! They've been loaned so much money all they need now is Ocean Finance.
-
and it was only 2-0 at half time

Hitler and Robert Mugabe would pass the Fit and Proper person's test with flying colours I expect
-
I know exactly what you mean. All depends whether a new manager is appointed by the time we play them.

This will give you a clue http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/holland_results/default.stm

It was actually, when listening to Legard I thought I was listening to James Allen again. But I totally agree with Brundle/Lewis, WTF was with the safety car? Initially, yes but it stayed out way too long. A couple of laps after it was deemed safe enough to race in the "extremely wet" conditions there were drivers going on to intermediates. I think having the drivers voicing their opinions on whether it is safe is not a good thing, they all have their own agenda. We've been in full racing conditions far worse than that even 5 years ago. If that is deemed too wet to race then why on earth is there a full wet tyre?

The FL tend to make the rules up as they go along in cases like this so it's extremely likely. As for people saying the FL "haven't had any balls" in dealing with Pompey, what more could they have done? Don't forget the FL are still withholding their golden share so it would appear but what FL rules have Pompey broken? As far as I can see they haven't (yet). They've exploited loopholes in FL rules to ensure they haven't broken them, even if what they are doing is financially suicidal. ie. sending youth players out on loan and replacing them with PL earners. They've been extremely clever in one sense to exploit these loopholes and AA has shown the footballing world how a club can run up an obscene amount of debt and have a period of big success whilst ripping off their creditors, and end up where they started with little punishment. He's achieved the ultimate for any financial conman by taking on the taxman and winning. I think AA is a genius personally and I think he's going to be in big demand from any football clubs heading for admin. Will Pompey ever get wound up? It all ultimately depends on what the intentions of Chainrai, Gaydamak etc. are. They may face winding up orders if they don't meet the CVA but it appears no high court judge will have the guts to go through with it unless the tide of the media turns against them. and as long as AA churned out the "poor us, our £130 million of debt is all the PL's fault" PR that was always going to be the case. And it will continue to be if Chainrai wants it to be. Problem is Pompey are doing now exactly what they were doing 2-3 years ago. It'll all come crashing down again. For the moment though, why would Chainrai want the club wound up when there is still value in it to be stripped? This will run and run for YEARS, regardless of whether they go up or not. If they go up it may even speed up the process once they've signed Riquelme et al. . . . AA's done his job, there was mention of how much he was earning as administrator on this thread somewhere but I bet his total isn't far off 7 figures overall. He's 'saved' Pompey from extinction so a money lender and an asset stripper can start running the club. Next step for Chainrai is to get his grubby hands on the golden share, there's a squad good enough in place NOW to challenge for promotion to the PL and then there's all the juicy TV money and parachute payments to come from the next few years should they go up this season. Once Chainrai has put everything of any value in the club in his back pocket, he'll either flog the corpse to some numpty to attempt to rebuild from scratch or he'll liquidate it.
-
Hang on we haven't had the court cases for Storrie, 'arry or MM yet. That'll give us some fun I'm sure and once they're over and done with Pompey can get on with Chainrai pumping massive investment in so the wages can be paid on time and then establish them as a premiership side. Oh hang on. . .
-
their wages are completely unsustainable at their current level. They are doing exactly the same thing now as they were doing under Storrie. Plus their current owner is an asset stripper and a money lender. Chainrai doesn't want to put money into the club he wants to take money OUT of it. Financially speaking they've been saved by the grim reaper.
-
Have they? Who's taken them over and said they are going to pump tens of millions into the club?
-
Alonso seems to be the hot favourite for the title now. I believe he 'only' needs to finish 2nd in the last two races and the title is his. If the FIA want to save money then they might as well get rid of the full wet tyres, if we're going to have a safety car every time the track is any wetter than near-intermediate conditions
-
Don't forget coming out of admin now means they are open to creditors giving them winding up orders should Pompey not stick to the CVA. March is where it is going to start to get interesting

we would never have won that game last season. 2 points off the play offs, 4 points off 2nd place
