Cortese has made mistakes and his lack of communication doesn't do him many favours, but there are far too many people immediately pointing the finger at Cortese without any evidence, when they know none of the facts. The photographer ban is a perfect example of that, no one knows for certain what the exact reasoning was behind it. The amount of unfounded criticism directed at Cortese was ridiculous. Considering the ban was enforced around the same time as the home game Liebherr was due to attend but didn't due to illness, and appeared to have been lifted shortly after ML's funeral there could well be many on here due to eat humble pie if we ever knew the facts. I won't hold my breath on either count though.

There's a big difference between disagreeing with a few decisions your chairman makes, and your club assembling an entire squad which you can't even come close to affording, and thinking everything is perfectly ok. Sure the FA Cup win was a bit of a distraction but there were plenty on here who made educated guesses at the wages/transfers of the squad, compared it with your income and saw the yawning chasm between the two emerging, long before a lot of your fans started bleating "it's all the Premier League's fault" on the streets.

when bad things now happen to Saints, it is all too easy to point the finger at Cortese immediately without any proof just because people haven't agreed with some of his previous decisions (without knowing all of, if any of the facts). In tough times it is far easier to become opinionated than to keep an open mind. I think Cortese has made some poor decisions but I can't see he is at fault at all concerning Adkins. Just hope we can get someone in before the weekend, and give the players a breath of fresh air with a new manager.
