Boyle is a very talented comedian and I find a lot of his non PC material refreshing and very funny. There are times when he can just go over the top like with this Down's syndrome material though.
-
then they got to worry how their going to pay off their footballing debts to be allowed to play in the Championship next season. . . .
-
their launching an appeal to get into Europe now. How inevitable.
-
It's gonna be even harder for Pompey to pay the cup final bonuses to all the players
-
So is the scenario of them not being allowed in the Championship a genuine possibility?
-
This may be a silly question but I understand that Pompey won't be allowed to compete in the Championship next season unless they clear all their footballing debts. Will these footballing debts simply be cleared by the Sky/Parachute money to allow them to play or is it likely to be more complicated than that?
-
Ah yes of course. Now we're gonna have to put up with even more cringeworthy PR from Avram saying they should be given special dispensation
-
They got a Europa Cup place as well next season, if their allowed to compete in it.

Manning was a bigoted racist who held very old fashioned prejudices. Problem is whilst most of Manning's material was filth, his timing and talent of his delivery was unequalled. And that is why he earned so much and was so successful. Back in the day, you'd be amazed at the proportion of Manning's audiences that were from an ethnic minority, who genuinely found him funny even if his act was targeted at them. As for Roy Chubby Brown, I don't know anything about him but from my experience he comes across a genuinely nasty bloke

I find Boyle refreshingly non PC but just wish he wouldn't go over the top, like with this. I understand Boyle is quitting stand up very soon, I think he knows he'd probably be banned from TV in 5-10 years if he did continue

The fans have gone downhill even in Avram's opinion. Their only the best fans in the country now, as opposed to the world.

mathematically we can still get promoted automatically on goal difference;) The play-offs is still a possibility but we have to win our remaining games, draws are like losses now. Very satisfied with our league position so far, a lot of positive signs for next season should we be in this division

LOL at the people who think New Labour & the Tories are any different from each other. Brown scrapping the 10p tax band was one of the most right-wing-Conservative, Thatcherite decisions since the time of Thatcher. With "Socialism" like that who needs neo-Conservatism LOL

Germans always get the job done lol A lot of teams would have folded after Man U's third went in but the BM didn't panic and struck just when Man U least expected, which turned the tie. The German teams have always done the basics very well and have a certain resilience, and when on top have a certain ruthlessness. They've always played the game the same way regardless of who their playing. Take when Germany played San Marino a few years ago in the euro qualifiers. A lot of teams would have taken their foot off the gas after going 3-4 nil up. Not the germans, they played the whole game like a world cup final and ended up winning 13-0!!! Bad night for Fergie in many ways though, bizarre team selection. Gibson - great goal but too inexperienced at that level and Rooney clearly wasn't anywhere near match fit and was limping almost from the off. And whenever Man U lose it's always the fault of the other team or the ref.

quite ironic that the account hacked into had a 'strong' password (numbers, lower and upper case letters) and had only been in existence 2 years where my other account I've had for 4 years and have had a 'weak' password.

I believe AA has been caught out by a high court judge doing this once before, so he wouldn't dare try that one again

Can't see the BNP doing much, the majority of their votes are either protest votes or joke votes, and these are much more of a rarity in general elections, compared to European or local elections They'd get a few votes in places like Dagenham and Burnley but would do little elsewhere. The media is united against them, what made me laugh was when Griffin appeared on QT the Mail did a double page spread the same day slating him and everything he stood for. Anything would think they were looking for distance. . . . Griffin made himself look a complete plank on QT anyway, that whole episode of QT was designed to do that. The ironic thing was the person who helped make Nick Griffin look a complete idiot the best was Nick Griffin.

Oh religion, what a minefield. Regarding people who are banned from wearing crucifixes, if it for some reason of health and safety then it should definitely be enforced. It depends on the individual situation of course but a lot of the people who are taking legal action against their employers about a crucifix etc. I'm sorry but I can't help thinking they should go to North Korea or Saudi Arabia or Uzbekistan and find out what "Religious Discrimination" is really like. The two biggest dangers to offending religions regarding such matters are the PC brigade and certain aspects of the media (The Mail for example) who print absurd stories about Christmas having to be renamed and offices banning Christmas decorations. I was talking to a Muslim friend of mine about similar matters recently. He, and in his opinion the vast majority of Muslims, are not offended by Christmas decorations, cards etc.etc. anymore than the average person. If he received a christmas card he'd receive it with gratitude and probably send one back. What he IS offended by is the banning process of christmas decorations etc. in the name of "political correctness" or "not wanting to offend minorities" as it just contributes to alienation. He (and in his opinion the majority of Muslims) aren't offended by Christmas/Christian/other religious symbols, he is offended by them being banned in the deeply flawed opinion of them offending minorities/religions. I'm sure that is the case for most people of all religions.

Just noticed one of my two hotmail accounts has been hacked into by someone and they've sent spam to every single contact in the address book. Luckily most of the contacts were out of date anyway, which is what made me notice as I had nearly a whole page of postmaster delivery notification failures in my inbox when I logged in. I reported it to hotmail and then changed the password and security question. I then thought sod it and closed the hotmail account as I don't really need it. As I've used that account for online transactions I checked by bank balance just in case and all appears to be fine. This happened to anyone else? Also, anything else security wise I should check/do?

You're obviously to young to remember the times of Thatcher/Major. 200,000 people turned up when the Poll Tax riots happened under the Tory government. As bad as 'this corrupt government' have been there hasn't been the social division and unrest there was under the Tories (even with the Iraq War) In 1997 Blair got in with a landslide victory and 'New Labour' have won 2 elections since. That's how bad the Tories were previously. . .

Excluding Lab/Lib/Cons what other party would you vote for?
JackFrost replied to woodfc's topic in The Lounge
Well the greens are very much in favour of electric cars, but a lot of people forget where the power comes from when you have to charge them up. . . . -
Not sure, apart from the wealthy and a percentage of the students too young to remember the previous tory governments very few would vote Tory. I live in a Tory stronghold but the Lib Dems have made big gains round here recently. There are millions disillusioned with both the Tories and New Labour as they've almost turned into the same party, and the Lib Dems won't take advantage as long as they don't favour the rich. Even with the wise financial head that is Vince Cable they haven't got anywhere recently in these hard economic times. It's heading towards a hung parliament in my opinion.

yep, Russians call Moscow "Moskva" (transliterating from the Cyrillic alphabet)
-
A lot of people on here are obviously forgetting a world cup is supposed to be taking place in SA this summer. Just hope this doesn't stir up ethnic tensions

If the Tories win the next election the Telegraph will become an English version of Pravda
