  1. I can't believe how many people think that Avram genuinely believes the rubbish that he spouts out. It's called PR. And Avram is not very good at it. Infact he is as bad at it as David Cameron is good at it. He only says what he says because of his wage going into his bank account. If he were to join West Ham next season and another PL club went into administration, directly saving the hammers from relegation, he would then be spouting on about how right it is the club an the fans of that club are punished and "those are the rules". Avram's a laughing stock and he knows it. That's why IMO he'll be at West Ham next season to get away from it all and go somewhere towards improving his public image long term.
  2. Russia is blatantly going to get it anyway. As their bid as the full backing of the government they'll make sure they get it
  3. LOL and they did just that. Oh. . . Their cup run was all about riding their luck and having constant good fortune. Fortunately it turned just as KPB scuffed his penalty.
  4. Pompey now favourites IMO This has to be the luckiest cup run I've ever experienced in 35 years of following the FA cup
  5. Storrie makes Mandelson look honourable
  6. How about resigning Gregory Vignal on a free? Just been released by Birmingham
  7. You are correct but the initial problem for a lot of the students leaving college is, uni or jobseekers allowance.
  8. LOL and we've now most probably got 13 years of exactly the same
  9. takes me back to the mid nineties when me and a mate (a highly skilled mechanic fortunately) bought a second hand Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione. Cost an absolute bomb to buy, insure and fix but it's the best car I've ever owned. Acceleration was brutal although it did break down regularly. Can't remember how much we sold it for in '97, but Richard Hammond on Top Gear reckoned a decent one would cost you 25k now.
  10. has just become manager of FC Qabala of Azerbaijan. May I wish him well in this progressive career move http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8675874.stm
  11. would be disappointed to see him go, He's a player who would put his head where few people would put there feet and we need someone in that mould in our defence. We suffered badly under Burley having no one like this (Of course it didn't help when Burley tried to solve the problem by signing midfielders) Jaidi is in his mid thirties now
  12. Tories got 36% of the votes and got 47% of the seats in the commons labour got 29 % of the votes and got 40% of the seats lib dems got 23 % of the votes and got less than 9% of the seats
  13. Can't find anything that gives this thread any credibility
  14. Course he has, there obviously are 6 teams worse than them in the league  I bet the skates are looking forward to meeting Chelsea in the final after today's results
  15. this thread is approaching 1 million views
  16. Barcelona is always boring. This was actually one of the more exciting races in recent years
  17. a repeat of the 'fit and proper persons' BBC South Today documentary is on BBC 1 NOW
  18. Pardew has 93% backing on here currently
  19. Some of those valuations are hilarious. Nugent at £3 million? LOL
  20. I got work experience for a local BBC radio station in the early 90s, real eye-opener. For example in the wide world it amuses me that these "competition phone rigging" stories have come out in the last few years. It was going on 20 years ago lol. Anyway with the season ending and the local paper no longer able to print match reports, I imagine they'd print anything to make a story. .
  21. Stop right there, see my point? lol It's very unlikely Sky, Solent and the Echo would have researched these rumours independently and come up with the same result. Media outlets (including Sky and the beeb) routinely create stories that are mere reworking of stories they've read in other media outlets, it's called cheap, lazy and easy journalism. Merrington and Adam wouldn't have "made it up", they were probably reading it straight from the Echo! who I reckon practically made the story up to sell a few papers! Besides the relationship between the Echo and the club hasn't been that great recently has it. . .
  22. maybe, or maybe these media outlets are creating stories in an attempt to maximise their viewing/listening figures, whilst not letting anything like 'facts' or 'in depth research' get in the way. Besides who on earth at St Mary's would openly tell Radio Solent there was friction involving Liebherr? We're talking about a local radio station here. "Someone at the club" could mean anyone from Markus Liebherr to a random bloke walking his dog who just so happened to be walking outside St Mary's. If media outlets always reported the truth, most of them would go bust.
  23. If the PL had done a deal with Pompey (which I seriously doubt as anything AA says is usually the opposite of the facts) then it would be merely to get them to the end of their jurisdiction without going bust. Remember The PL want shot of Pompey ASAP, Pompey are an embarrassment to the PL. The PL wanna make sure they get to the end of this season unscathed while under their jurisdiction, then not want to see them darken the PL's door for a very long time.
  24. Only problem with the double decker it crumbles like anything as soon as you bite into it and half the chocolate ends up making a mess on the floor. I'd have to go for the Twirl or the Caramac
  25. Lazy journalism most likely Solent most probably got it from the Echo, who tend to print complete **** anyway. The beeb got it from Solent and Sky got it from the beeb.
