  1. I'm trying to play online with a mate of mine, doing a special ops mission palying "The Pit" and it is so jerky it's unplayable. It's fine for very short period, then the screen just freezes for a few seconds. followed by being fine for a few secs then freezes etc. etc. Could this be simply a flaky internet connection? just tried a deathmatch between him and it was absolutely fine. . ..
  2. did she think Channel 4 were recording Countdown from a beach that day?
  3. FC Twente are interested in Grant as well and their playing in the champions league next season.
  4. I think this is what is confusing a lot of people. how 9 months down the line (early next year) can the current company be liquidated and a new one set up. No one knows on here how this is going to work so I understand. Surely they can't just wipe away nearly 140 million of debt by effectively changing their name and carrying on as normal. I also believe the majority of talk relating to this has come from AA so he's probably a million miles away from reality
  5. Avram Grant has resigned according to SSN

    Malawi

countries all over the world that discriminate against minorities that we don't hear about. It's illegal to own a bible in The Maldives for instance
  7. I don't think the FL would be that bothered TBH They've got plenty of ammunition they could throw at Pompey. Whether AA realises that is another matter. Or it could be Chainrai's long term scheme. Who knows?
  8. Problem is Chester City weren't in the FL, they were in the Conference.
  9. He never did master the art of passing the ball anywhere near a team mate.
  10. I think the FL WILL deduct them points as they tend to make up rules as they go along for differing situations. Add to that the trials of 'arry, Storrie and Mandaric and your looking at potentially points deduction. If they somehow avoid the points deduction then a combination of AA playing a blinder and the PL bailing them out, means they'll get off with merely relegation from the PL The only other aspect is whether AA is in the pocket of Chainrai, whose long term intention is to liquidate the club to have flats built on FP - if the conspiracy theorists are to be believed
  11. IF Pompey started next season on 0 points, what's to stop them keeping enough of their squad to be a force in the Championship, make a calculated financial gamble on going up in the first year and going up . . .
  12. I've said a few times that Norwich, Leeds and Charlton are far stronger teams than Peterborough and Plymouth for example. I think the league will be slightly easier but it will still be very tough. We must get out of the blocks very quickly and be very consistent. We have to make a strong start and get other teams to fear playing us for as much of the season as possible. We also HAVE to get consistent at beating teams getting 11 men behind the ball on a ploughed field
  13. Didn't KD get injured in the warm up? I may be wrong. I remember Bart being kept on the bench almost all season, even for the early rounds of the league and FA cups. He only played when KD got suspended or injured. Another point is that Jermaine Wright must have been out with a long term injury at that point of that season
  14. Just illustrates what a poor job the blithering idiot did considering 6 of the players in the starting line up for the first leg have since been signed by clubs playing in the PL. We only got to the play offs in the first place due to other results going for us in the last couple of weeks. Pardew would have taken us up that season with that squad IMO
  15. I'd have thought they'd do well to keep hold of Rocha & Finnan
  16. Koren also is the Slovenian captain, sort of player we need in the centre of the park. Definitely worth having a go at signing him but I can't see it happening personally
  17. I know Joseba Etxeberria played for Athletic Bilbao for free a couple of seasons ago, don't know if he still is.
  18. Ah well shut my mouth, Schumacher has 20 seconds added to his race time http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8685542.stm
  19. Na, Mosley's & the FIA's love affair with Ferrari ended a few years ago. Besides the personnel in the FIA hierachy has changed. The FIA are no longer "Ferrari's International Assistance" If it had been Alonso passing Schuey a few years ago, of course the FIA would have invented a "No Ferrari is allowed to be passed in the Antony Noghes corner" rule and disqualified Alonso, but in these times I can't see anything happening. There is a line just before the pitlane exit that I believe no overtake can be done by when the safety car is going in. Alonso was still ahead as they both went over the line so it appeared to be a perfectly legal move
  20. Chandhok nearly got decapitated by Trulli
  21. Will be interesting to see what happens with Alonso. I can se him spending the entire race up Chandhok's gearbox
  22. Most big Russian newspapers would print whatever the Kremlin wanted them to
  23. Unless they want to set a very serious precedent for other football clubs concerning their dealings with the taxman????? I'm not clued up in dealings like this and I may be clutching at straws  If HMRC got frozen out re: the CVA, surely they'd go back to court it the SOA and question where all this extra debt has suddenly materialised from
  24. If Pompey got to start next season on 0 points, could this open up a load of legal wrangles from clubs like us, Leeds, Bmouth etc. etc.
