Personally I think it's been used as a mere tool to get the case back in the courtroom again. Along with the conception in the local community and parts of the force that "everyone knows they did it" one of them has since been convicted and jailed of a racist attack on an undercover black police officer since the last trial. Just the sheer publicity of the case could help sway the jury. Whilst I agree with you that the evidence looks weak, I'm not convinced by the prosecution's arguments of contaminated evidence either. Having worked in the Met in the 90s I know some of their arguments are in part flawed from what I've read. The defence obviously think they can discredit the forensic investigation enough to get the two off.

I see the trial has started again. The murder was getting on 20 years ago now. I am getting old.

Very good player. Wages might be an issue

I'd advise using a parachute

Is that the mistake you made?

Ain't going to happen. If Pompey get deducted points for anything relating to 'arry and Mandaric I will streak at St Mary's this season in the home game afterwards. An incident that would have such an affect it would mean our home attendance would dip below Pompey's very quickly.

Luton faced 50 different charges though

In a few times they'll have Justin Bieber on the judging panel to keep it going

It's an interesting appointment. Maybe the Russians have been reviewing the "quality over quantity" policy

Are you really that simple?

LOL watch out for the next time you see wonga.com being advertised and you'll see an APR of 4214% It's nothing short of legalized loan sharking. How the hell they get away with it I never know. -
It was foggy anyway and and with any thick smog could have made visibility almost zero. If one lorry had jackknifed and everyone behind had slowed down to even 40 there would have been serious consequences. I heard 4 of the people who died were all in the same car, either they were in the wrong place at the wrong time or the car was travelling way too fast. I also wonder if the cause of the crash was as a result of a car/lorry being hit by a firework

Fine, if you want to talk about recent history you've won (well, bought) 1 FA Cup where we have won 1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy. And it was an FA cup win done by assembling a squad that you had no intention of paying for with your own money, racking up £120 million of debt whilst conning money out of various cancer charities and other local businesses (some of which have gone bust) through creative accounting. All celebrated by 200,000 people on Southsea Common of which barely 10,000 can even be bothered to turn up to home games. Course you're going to be proud of that, we wouldn't expect anything less. How is the new stadium coming along by the way?

You're right. Being the first PL club to ever go into admin for example. No one will ever take that away from you. And you lot will be claiming Maradona's going to become your manager and his first signings will be Riquelme and Saviola next. Oh hang on. . .

Well today confirmed we'll definitely miss Cloterill

Diomansy Kamara in the Saints Pompey FA Cup game about 6-7 years ago when on a yellow he thought he got fouled, picked the ball up and the referee gave him a second yellow and red card for deliberate handball.

Appleton managing Pompey would be like Les Reed managing Charlton. As for Coppell he stated a while back he's permanently retired from football management because he lost interest in it, and I suspect at his age he's probably thinking about his health. He has supposedly expressed interest in managing the Icelandic national team although that's international football with a side where he wouldn't be under a lot of pressure relatively speaking. In terms of managing in a domestic league week-in week-out I strobgly suspect those days are behind him.

That wouldn't be in the same depths of hilarity of George Burley but that would be a top drawer appointment. He'd be completely out of his depth

Oh the irony

Is she the new one on Loose Women?

Being rude to door to door salesmen/those who ring up trying to sell stuff
JackFrost replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
That's impressive. Personally if it is someone ringing and I have a lot of time on my hands I make animal noises down the phone until they go away. 3 mins 12 seconds is my record for that. I remember seeing on youtube a recorded answerphone prank someone had designed for a cold caller to have a conversation withIt was brilliant. -
I cannot understand how Gervais is so popular. I saw him at that Diana show a few years ago where he was doing stand-up and it was absolutely cringeworthy. He was hopeless. After about 15 mins he got booed off stage but the content to me wasn't much different to what I've seen him do elsewhere
