He'll get a suspended sentence, plus a heavy fine and/or community service. There's no way he'll get jailed

SA coach Pitso Mosimane. What a plonker!
JackFrost replied to Dark Munster's topic in General Sports
It's not so much the coach's/team's fault actually. CAF basically made up the qualifying criteria as they went along. South Africa, Niger and Sierra Leone all ended up on the same points and Niger went through despite SA having a better goal difference and head to head record against Niger. Apparently CAF announced while the Niger-Egypt match was taking place it would be decided by a "mini-tournament" in the group. Their also not sure Burkina Faso have qualified in an argument over ineligible player You just have to be a regular watcher of the African Cup of Nations like me to know the disorganised, incompetant and corrupt way African football is run. Each year it tends to be mericilessly rigged in the host nation's favour and when you get incidents like playing the wrong national anthem before one of Nigeria's quarter final matches and ball boys deliberately taking minutes to give the ball back to a team who are losing to the host nation, and referee's allowing goals scored by the host nation hen their player is 10 yards offside and medical staff driving those stretcher buggies on the pitch and 'accidentally' mowing down players, you get the idea of how it is run. I remember back in the 90s I first watched it and they hadn't even painted the lines on the pitch correctly and the halfway line was 20 yards closer to one goal than the other It gets more farcical every tournament and it's why I love watching it. Add in the eccentric/simply hopeless goalkeepers and it's worth watching just for the sheer comedy value. It's the tournament that really does combine the sublime with the ridiculous. -
Neville' said himself that he thought playing for England was a waste of time

A great scheme but I did immediately think this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ero3ZgyszbQ

Yeah there's a nice one in Austria I walked past many years ago. When I was on holiday in the Tirol. Sound of the rippling was beautiful in the sunshine

Remember him? Did he play for us under Pearson? He's just signed for Havant & Waterlooville http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15214371.stm

Djibril Cisse when he was at liverpool
-
If anything's to go by the last time he'll be back in several weeks and claim everything he said previously was just him reporting rumours
-
I totally agree with you on this one. Pardew's done a superb job at Newcastle and Sturrock was a manager whose record here was better than a lot of people think. If only he and Lowe had seen eye to eye at that time but we don't want to get into that debate again

and only 2 yellow cards this week

How long before Merrington's "What we don't want to do now is concede a goal"

Well I've found one bloody annoying bug did a 2 player co-op championship online and on a 50% race finished 18th after being lapped by the first 3 or 4 cars. It then classified me as 23rd +1lap and the cars that finished behind me were classified in front of me classified +number of minutes I'll have to switch it down to 20% now, EDIT: apparently some patch is already out for the PS3, hope it sorts this

He's just what they need to sort out their discipline problems

anyone seen the spectator mode on the 2 player co-op championship? My mate stuck his car into a wall, destroyed his car and it gave him this option. He could follow any car (including mine) going round the track from a number of different camera angles

if he did that's another 20,000 posts of hilarity for this thread guaranteed

TBH that sums up this entire thread perfectly

anyone know what Cotterill said in his interview? (even if an educated guess can be made)

What's more important ? The furture of SFC or its past ?
JackFrost replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
They certainly do don't they -
Sweepstake on how many seconds it'll take Cotterill to blame the referee? Will give them one thing, only one booking tonight!

Jeez she did actually freak me out first time I came across her in F1 2010.

The mail was claiming Fialka was still living with his mum As for this thread, christ almighty. I got stuck at some temporary traffic lights coming home this evening, some berk had turned the other lot round to face the side so no one in a car could see them. All Cortese's fault of course.
-
Yeah that's where the latest consortium interested in taking over Pompey are from (Cue Corp asking me for a link to prove that last statement)
-
played for the first time tonight for about 45 mins. Did what I did in F1 2010 and went for a Hispania on expert mode. By the end of the first practice session I was 6.6 seconds off the pace, couple of seconds off my team mate. Different from 2010, you can't cheat out of a impending spin by jamming the brake on and steering into it. Seems a lot harder than 2010, I won 6 drivers titles easily (3 in a Force India). I do like the new menu layouts

I think a lot of it is blown up by the media and the best blowers of them all, Sky. Cortese and MLT appeared to start off on the wrong foot with MLT wrongly backing Pinnacle and the Fialka Fiasco even if he did it for the right reasons. But largely, it's a complete non-issue

If a newspaper printed a libellious statement about me I don't personally think making a public comment is the best way to do it. I would personally be consulting lawyers privately which for all we know is what Cortese may be doing now. End of the day, anything I see printed in The Sun I take with a pinch of salt. PR is clearly not Cortese's strong point and whilst journalists are always going to print inaccuracies to sell papers he doesn't appear to do himself many favours in the media regardless, coming across as brash and fairly petty on occasions. Handling the media and making yourself coming across in a favourable way is a skilled job and Cortese isn't very good at it. To be perfectly honest I don't think Cortese gives a damn about this whole debate anyway (even if he does foolishly poke the dragon on occasions). I gather he is far more interested in running the club and fulfilling it's newly found potential which let's face it, without Cortese and Liebherr the club could well not have. Under Cortese we are achieving success on the field and Cortese is the sort of bloke that is determined to achieve this and not be afraid of upsetting people along the way with his approach. Not to everyone's taste but I personally don't have a problem with it. Cortese has made mistakes during his time here but at the end of the day it was he who first recommended us to Markus and it was he who managed the Pardew-Adkins transition, a set of decisions that plenty of people (myself included) rightly questioned as it was potentially the biggest threat to our new found momentum. Adkins has already proved IMO that Cortese got that right.
