TBH I don't think Storrie ever left But his return would be an odd one, if nothing else it would give the skates a reality check.

The top 40 these days basically consists of 39 black blokes each singing drippy songs about women and Gaga lady or whatever it is

Bernie's apparently trying to overturn the ruling. Now that such opposition has been voiced he's miraculously changed his tune

Hardest ****ing Years/Schools in Southampton...

I totally agree with your sentiment TBH. I think it goes even deeper than that. I think the FA manage the team more than the manager does. I think the team selections are done by the FA to generate shirt sales, the squad exploited as a brand and then the 'manager' has to work with what is forced opon him. All the England manager's job seems to be is "do what your told and keep saying yes". For £5 million quid a year I'm not surprised 'arry wants the job

Problem is it's true. It's absolutely horrendous but there are far more horrendous incidents like this that go on around the world than the US/UK have bombs. As for kidnapping and torturing kids under 18 the US are as guilty of it as anyone. Besides, by bombing them your inevitably going to accidentally hit civilians/kids who'll suffer similar horrendous injuries. And they'll think the same of us as you do of the Syrian creatures that did this to the kid. If you use violence you'll make the problem significantly worse, not better. You don't put a fire out with petrol.

"so are our owners" is a pretty simple reply to that one. As a saints fan behind enemy lines myself I've had a few conversations with them on their owners and the most intelligent reply I've had from one skate I know is "yeah and we beat you 4-1" Apart from a significant minority, their fans simply don't get it

It's the mentality I've always taken in the 25 years I've been driving and I haven't had an accident yet.

LOL what do we have here? http://www.rumafia.com/material.php?id=220 Apologies if already posted. I do think that should be Pompey's new home page for their website
-
I couldn't agree with you more. There is this culture where in an accident between a car and a bike the driver of the car will always get blamed for it. Because of this there are cyclists out there who don't think the rules of the road apply to them. The amount of times I've come up behind a cyclist and they've swerved out in the middle of the road without looking and with no indication to turn right has been unbelievable. There again the proportion if idiots cycling is probably about the same as it is with idiot car drivers

I have just watched a repeat of the Krypton Factor and two of the contestants were called Richard Lambert and Paul Smith

Couldn't have put it better myself

They'll give you a load of barnum statements such as "I sense that you are sometimes insecure, especially with people you don't know very well." or "You are a very kind and considerate person, but when somebody does something to break your trust, you feel deep-seated anger" Are you actually paying money for it?
-
That could also be called an "Intelligent Engineering Solution"
-
Is anyone actually surprised?

He'd want absurd wages. He's on 35k a week at the moment supposedly. Expect Pompey to unveil him as one of their new signings in a few weeks
-
And this is the problem, you just don't get the big picture. Until you stop racking up the debt and start making serious cutbacks it will be never be over. Because no serious businessman will buy you out. Until the debt gets addressed and you stop paying PL rejects absurd wages your club will continue to be barely anything other than a money laundering operation. You'll love it when the proceeds of various criminals get pumped through your club but not so much when it runs out. Like it did last time when you were £130 million in debt. Obviously the previous 6 owners didn't teach you enough so here comes the Russian Mafia with lesson number seven. I have Pompey supporting friends who are very concerned with the takeover. If you had been bought out by some billionaire who publicly stated he would pump £100 million+ into the club and had a successful and clean past we would be very disappointed, and your right it would be over. But you've been taken over by a couple of Russians who have history of money laundering and financial irregularities. Antonov's bank has been banned from operating over here by the FSA for goodness sake. You really reckon it's over?! As for moving on, you were telling us to do that when Al-Fahim and Al-Faraj took over. . .

Going off on a tangent somewhat, I notice that Lee Hoos has left Leicester City. Remember him?
-
Reading the article I fear a similar fate has already met the father
-
the one thing that is keeping me very interested in this is after all the dodgy owners, all the debt, all the backhanded help from the PL to keep them afloat, their new owners have illustrated to me it has all the hallmarks of happening all over again. But in a couple of years after the laundered money is disposed of and has gone through the club, the hope is there'll be no PL to bail them out, no parachute payments and in as much debt if not more than before considering the amount of loans they've had. Even if they got promoted all they'd do is splurge tens of millions on wages and transfer fees and it would merely speed the process up. Maybe they should call Carol Vorderman about their loans, she could consolidate them all into one easy payment
-
I remember it all well and all those people made the same mistake of believing that in English football, cheats don't prosper. What will forever be a massive burden to Pompey though is their unsustainable debt. It'll always be there until they make serious cutbacks and stop relying on loans and having laundered money pumped through the club to stay afloat. If the Russians were only there to get rid of tens of millions of pounds which were the proceeds of a dodgy deal and they went into admin again when it ran out (sound familiar?) then even the FL will look very dim on them going back into admin again so soon. It is their unsustainable debt that will keep this thread going. Whilst it is there they won't be attracting any credible businessmen who are in it for the long term anytime soon IMO

I agree there will be something, but it's more likely to be a 50 quid fine than a points deduction
-
Can't see it, Luton were only deducted 10 points for tax irregularities that consisted of around 50 separate charges. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Storrie has to answer for 2 charges
-
Don't forget Storrie's tax case also. While I don't expect Pompey will get any points penalty, do we reckon he may go down if found guilty?
-
Everton, QPR and Wigan all want him apparently. As for someone saying Makin was the worst ever player here, he may have been over the hill but worse than Bernard, Davenport or Jakobsson?! I don't think so
