  1. It'd be interesting to see Sylvester Stallone fighting against the Taliban/Islamic militants, as opposed to with ie Rambo III
  2. less than a month before the fun resumes
  3. Apologies if already posted but the guardian thinks Storrie's court case is 16th May http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/16/harry-redknapp-milan-mandaric-peter-storrie
  4. How about "the server is still bleedin' awful"
  5. Those bells must be very poorly maintained to do that
  6. Isn't the DRS window by default on the speed trap of the circuit ie. the fastest part? Unless they changed it for safety reasons it would have to be the tunnel at monaco i'd have thought
  7. Well this was certainly worth being flagged up
  8. I heard about this on Solent this morning, although I thought they said it was a DJ that played the track at a party or smth Solent then decided to play the track in it's entirety after reporting the story.
  9. and my point is your doing the equivalent of taking your e.g. VW Golf to a car salesman working for Volkswagen!
  10. Valley Parade '85, 5 mins before that someone dropped a fag. . .
  11. I remember going to the Baseball ground in the early 90s, there was torrential rain all day and the bogs were knee deep in urine and floating turds. Also the bottom tiers of the stands weren't actually in line with the pitch
  12. Fine, I'd rather take the opinion of someone who has an independent opinion even if it was flawed, instead of taking a politician's 'political spin' and assuming it is 'fact' but that's up to you. You are taking the opinion of someone who couldn't be more politically biased and presenting it as 'fact'. Each to their own I suppose
  13. You'd rather believe Lord Norton, ie. the opinion of a Tory whose party is currently opposing to change to AV? CB Fry may not be an expert on Parliamentary affairs but to my knowledge he also isn't an MP or holds a high profile position in politics, and therefore his opinion isn't prone to being dictated by a party whip. .
  14. I'm afraid CB Fry is right, the Tories did use AV to select Cameron as leader. A slight variant to the proposed system in this election but it was still AV. Interestingly, if the Tories had used first-past-the-post David Davis would have won the leadership campaign.
  15. There's no way they'll get rid of Cotterill, they can't afford to sack him!
  16. No I'm afraid I didn't have the time to ask all those who were cheering on a clearly insolvent Pompey at the cup finals which was in between them bragging on about their 60,000 megadrome and how Maradona was going to become head coach and sign the likes of Riquelme & Saviola. Then when the **** hit the fan I had the thousands of fans to question who far too pre occupied marching down the street and wailing about how all their financial lunacy was all the Premier League's fault. Then when it came to the court case they were all to preoccupied winning the court case and shafting the taxman and all their other creditors. I'm afraid little things like that stopped me, then I decided that actions spoke louder than words. Do a google search on even a small questionnaire yourself, and see how many Pompey fans you can find who'd rather pay off all their creditors they've ripped off, than build a squad of 16-17 PL fringe players in an attempt to get promoted to the Premiership. Judging by their recent attendances there appears to be what 12-15000? who'd rather see promotion. Cos their current financial state means they can only do one or the other. As it's Easter I'll be generous, go and get a list of even 10,000 Pompey fans' signatures who'd say "yes I'd be happy selling off our entire first team, getting in a load of free transfers/playing the reserves on a few hundred quid a week each and paying off all the people we owe money too". Problem is you won't be able to for one very good reason, even with the £100 million + of debt completely wiped out, the vast majority of their fans don't understand and don't want to understand they are STILL trading insolvently now and playing a squad they can't get anywhere near to affording with their current financial situation and current and prospective owners from the Russian Mafia. Even WITH the **** hitting the fan a year or so ago the club has continued to hire PL fringe players on absurd wages and stick two fingers up to any creditors they owe money to, and the vast majority of their fans have completely supported it. And considering I live just outside Portsmouth and have several friends who are Portsmouth fans I'm in a pretty good position to judge. One of my mates gets it but the others don't, they were all too willing to join in with the "F*ck off taxman" chants with the rest of them when they had the court case coming up, when their overpaid PL rejects weren't playing too well
  17. But that's the point, the majority of their fans don't give a damn as long as Pompey keep winning.
  18. It is a handy coincidence
  19. The Stadionul Ghencea. They refurbished in 2006 apparently
  20. The FAPPT is a complete joke. I fail to recognise it as anything more than a PR stunt by the authorities. Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe would pass it with flying colours, and it's already been discovered that you don't even have to exist to pass it.
  21. and another 4 yellow cards picked up today
  22. It's now officially impossible for them to be promoted. No doubt Cotterill will say this is all the fault of today's referee
  23. That win in the Copa Del Rey final was definitely a crushing victory
  24. so how can say justin.tv survive for so long?
  25. I think anothersaintinsouthsea's post has to be a contender for 'post of the thread'
