Prime Minister Cameron blocks Browns bid to head up the IMF
JackFrost replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Brown running the IMF, just thinking about it makes me shudder -
completely agree with you on Perry, I remember watching him against Sheff Utd in the last game of the season in the 07/08 season being completely dominated by Rob Hulse, he made Darren Powell look exceptional. As for nowadays Merrington was raving on about Aaron Martin earlier in the season when he got a few games, said he looked very solid and a very bright prospect. He hasn't had a look in since Adkins has been here Besides if Kanu is still playing for Pompey surely we could re-sign Chris Lucketti

I had to have a double take at this thread, at first i thought the first word was 'Pulis'

If Rooney had lunged at a player like that yesterday the commentators would tell us that it was an illustration of his "enthusiasm" and "commitment". It's cos their English and they play for Man Utd

What is the situation in Japan really like ?

A precaution I suspect. -
Brighton's promotion a possible blessing?
JackFrost replied to SaintAmongSkates's topic in The Saints
They've already stated they are targeting 100+ points this season so I can't see there being any let up. We need a performance against them, if we get anything out of the game it will be a result -
Are we sure Cotterill does actually do the post-match interviews and they don't keep playing a recording of the same one?

anyone with a maths degree may be able to correct me but I'd have thought considering all the teams between pompey and the play-offs it was mathematically impossible now

Skates 2-0 down Yet another terrible ref for Pompey. . . -
1-0 down and down to 10 men. Obviously it's all the ref's fault yet again

Rochdale 2 - 0 Southampton - Post Match Reaction
JackFrost replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Most important thing now is we bounce back and get 3 points on saturday. We also are going to be playing an already promoted Brighton, but as they've already publicly stated their targeting 100 points this season I don't they will have any let up -
their form this year has been bizarre. A run of wins followed by a run of losses followed by a run of wins followed by run of losses followed by a run of wins followed by a run of losses

LOL the fun we had when Lowe, Wilde & Crouch were all sending PR plants onto this board. Wilde himself posted on here I believe

ah it was you wasn't it. I'm sure I'll be reminded of your post next time I'm in southsea

I don't think Corp Ho will ever post on here again, about 40-50 pages back some lad whose username I can't remember posted a collection of some of Corp's classic quotes such as how Javier Saviola was about to sign for them with Maradona as coach, and how AL-Fahim was richer than Abramovich. Since that post, Ho has been strangely absent from this thread

That had to be the one of the most unambitious managerial appointments in the PL ever. As for Adkins I think he is an improvement on Pardew, and he could barely be doing a better job. We've had the odd slip up here and there but overall he is doing exactly what is expected of him and has got us into a very strong position. Our advantage over Huddersfield and Peterborough has been getting bigger and bigger as we've taken advantage of their slip ups. I am very encouraged by his start here and I think it is an increasingly justifiable case of 'when' and not 'if' we go up, I genuinely think we'll be a force in the Championship next season. I think one of our biggest problems this year is the players thinking that we're too good for this league and not putting a shift in. I think NA has banged a few heads together hence our recent run of form

If true then the only thing at fault is the attitude of this woman. As well as making false or unfounded accusations she's acting against the laws of her own religion just in a bid to seek attention. Hopefully there'll be an imam at the jail who'll tell her how stupid she's been.

I believe the European judgement was more to do with 'gender' as opposed to 'age group'. Young men are statistically more likely to be involved in an accident, and their closely followed by young women (no pun intended), but I think the judgement was made on it being gender discrimination to charge (on average) around double for a young bloke to insure his car than the same car for a young woman
-
I doubt that will work, considering they can't even fill their current one
-
They should also significantly increase fines for people driving without insurance, so it's actually not cheaper for someone to be fined for driving without insurance than it is to get their car insured
-
There are a lot of dangerous drivers on the roads regardless of age. They should definitely raise the minimum age to drive but there are a lot of dangerous pensioners on the roads as there are people aged 30-50 using mobile phones and doing other acts of dangerous driving. I think everyone should have a driving assessment every x amount of years and this be made more regular albeit cheaper for pensioners. 6 months ago I got stuck behind this pensioner trawling along a 60mph fairly straight road at 40 and then proceeded at 40 when the limit went down to 30. He then went straight through a red light at a junction and narrowly avoided being clobbered by a bus. There are times I've made mistakes and done unwise manoeuvres but never had an accident yet fortunately. Whilst I tend to drive in a way that I feel is safe but won't hold up the average road user too much, I also take great pleasure in slowing down to around 20-25mph in a 30mph zone if someone comes barrelling up behind me at 45mph+ and proceeds to drive within a couple of centimetres of my rear bumper.

LOL I really hope the takeover goes through I wonder if that bloke actually exists . .
