Football League Show 27/02/10 & 13/03/10, It Seems
Saint replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
We're only first when we play a top 2 team. Even a 5-1 victory isn't enough to get us in ahead of a Swindon v Orient 0-0 draw. -
He's got my support. I really will be devastated and bemused if he leaves the club for whatever reason. His vision is starting to bear fruit and we are looking fantastic. No playoffs this season is not a disaster, it would be nice, but we've had a lot to be pleased about this season so i wish people would lay off and smile. APRA (WHP)

Story on newsround now. For those finding it hard to understand what's going on.
-
FYI - just had a nose at the wycombe forum. they said the pitch for tuesday will be a lot like wigans pitch yesterday, ie. (for anyone who didn't see) absolutely dreadful. To which somebody replied, "anything that will slow the saints down." bloody lower league football
-
Don't know how to call this one. We were fairly woeful against them at home. After an awful first half we only managed a 1-0 win, and they were the bottom side at the time. We really need to just grind them down and don't let them play their game of re-starts.
-
I might put a bet on 2-2. A pretty likely score IMO and i bet the odds are good since it'll be third time in a row.
-
I'm willing to be patient under AP. Honestly think he's a top bloke who's done brilliantly in such a short space of time. Big budget players (for this league) or not, teams need time to gel. And as Saint Fan CaM said, the overall feeling at SMS on match day is so positive, and this is less than a year since it couldn't get any worse. Next season will be crucial though.
-
I can't wait to see it. I'll definitely be getting one. Is there any confirmation on what it will look like, roughly. I know it's official that there will be no sponsor, but is the red sash confirmed too? I would be all up for keeping it as a permanent kit as well, if it's nice enough and popular enough. As people say, as long as we're red and white but not necessarily stripes as loads of teams have it.

Quality. Wonder what Carlisle have got.

Dad, if we played like that every week......

There's a guy and his young son who sit a few seats down from me, and his son often comes out with some very astute observations for a kid his age. He's 5 or 6 i'd say. I sit there and think, "Hmm, yeah good idea." -
"One less team in Hampshire, there'll soon be one less team in Hammmmmpshiirrrreee!"
-
I think Tim's been hanging out with Alpine and Glasgow. Get a cup of tea, sit down and watch the six nations ffs. Honestly, some people's expectations are so unreasonable they will never be happy.
-
Despite the result it was such a good game. Their support was fairly embarassing. Aside from 'Play up p*mpey' (which every idiot knows) they couldn't string a song together. That also got shouted down, although i wish it was with 'f*ck of pompey' rather than 'pay up' as they sound too similar. They have no real reasons to feel pride in their club at the moment. They should have beaten us a lot more easily.
-
I think Exeter should have won. In fact, i don't think i'm going to support Saints anymore.
-
Why don't you two (Glasgow and Alpine) go and form your own Saints forum where you can just moan about how awful everything is eh? There's already 'Pardew needs to start earning his cash' thread and 'This is not a Pardew out thread but...' threads going. Why do you feel the need to make another thread informing everyone that things haven't been all that stellar recently? Like people can't see that for themselves, or you're not already shoving down their throats in other threads. I mean seriously, I wasn't on this forum when we went into Administration but if this is how you feel now I'd hate to imagine what you were like then. I'm surprised you're both still alive.
-
Yeh, God i wish it was the good old days.
-
This needs to say 125 years on it. Otherwise it looks like Saints ended in 2010.
-
I've added Glasgow to my ignore list. I can't be bothered to read his drivelling bile about how awful everything is. He reminds me of Ted from Scrubs. I bet he's a joy to sit next to at games. He hasn't posted in this thread yet so i expect he's probably watching a re-run of the 1976 cup final whilst wearing the yellow jersey that's way too small for him.
-
Does this place have an ignore button? Your posts make me feel so ****ing depressed. My heart sinks everytime i see that stupid union jack.
-
I'll be there. I've never felt so stressed about a game all my life.
-
I'm confused as to how cup tieing works. How come Fonte, Seabourne and Ostemobor were all cup tied for Ipswich but Barnard wasn't? Even though he only signed the day before.
-
Oh right. Listening on the internet is says coverage of both. Now i have to find a radio. ****in Pompey.

Is there any audio commentary aside from Saints player? Solent is all Pompey. -
It launched last Monday and consisted of the same highlights they show on the football league show. They had a good section on exeter city, so hopefully they'll have a nice bit on saints at some point. But it's a half an hour show and covers all of the south outside of london. You even hear about wycombe and bristol. So no, it's not all that good.
