Saints "best passing team in the league"
Saint in Paradise replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Somewhat reminds me of last season when teams kept on about how Saints were the best opposition team to play at our ground, just after the home team beat Saints :( -
AH but IF the Insurance company find out then they will put you on a black list and you will have great difficulty insuring anything in the future.

Should all be banned - nasty blasted devices :mad:

1.) Pick young, married women. They usually have more of a sense of responsibility than their unmarried sisters;they're less likely to be flirtatious; they need the work or they wouldn't be doing it;they still have the pep and interest to work hard and to deal with the public efficiently. 2.) When you have to use older women, try to get ones who have worked outside the home at some time in their lives. Older women who have never contacted the public have a hard time adapting themselves and are inclined to be cantankerous and fussy. It's always well to impress upon older women the importance of friendliness and courtesy. 3.) General experience indicates that "husky" girls - those who are just a little on the heavy side - are more even tempered and efficient than their underweight sisters. 4.) Retain a physician to give each woman you hire a special physical examination - one covering female conditions. This step not only protects the property against the possibilities of lawsuit, but reveals whether the employee-to-be has any female weaknesses which would make her mentally or physically unfit for the job. 5.) Give the female employee a definite day-long schedule of duties so that they'll keep busy without bothering the management for instructions every few minutes. Women make excellent workers when they have their jobs set out for them, but they lack initiative in finding work themselves.
-
6.) Whenever possible, let the female employee change from one job to another at some time during the day. Women are inclined to be less nervous and happier with change. 7.) Give every girl an adequate number of rest periods during the day. You have to make for some allowances for feminine psychology. A girl has more confidence and is more efficient if she can keep her hair tidied, apply fresh lipstick and wash her hands several times a day. 8.) Be tactful when issuing instructions or in making criticisms. Women are often sensitive; they can't shrug off harsh words the way men do. Never ridicule a woman - it breaks her spirit and cuts off her efficiency. 9.) Be reasonably considerate about using strong language around women. Even though a girl's husband or father may swear vociferously, she'll grow to dislike a place of business where she hears too much of this. 10.) Get enough size variety in operator's uniforms so that each girl can have a proper fit. This point can't be stressed too much in keeping women happy.

I never quite understood why people keep on about Hitler in so much as Stalin was so so much worse as a killer and he lasted longer.

A sneaky way for JP to get a very small payback for RL interferring so much with the team thereby costing RL an appearance fee, something that according to posters RL likes to keep to a minimum ?

The early 1950s had "Teddy Boys" now they made todays "Youth" look relatively tame

I thought Mr Wilde was the Football Chairman ? I thought Mr Lowe was the PLC Chairman so surely the person giving the chat should have been Mr Wilde ?

Totally agree, I also think that calling someone names like those used actually detracts a lot of the stance that the poster is trying to establish, IMHO

Only true up to a point though, at my age even the fast food / shelf stacking jobs are out of my reach as I am perceived as being too old. Of course that is never the official excuse as that would be illegal.

Many, many, many years ago I read a short cartoon SF story about a prophet who said his world was doomed. He said his world would be destroyed by a great flood. The last 2 pictures were of the planet being flooded and a lab technician washing a microscope slide

Well looks like your fears were well founded Steve Phil Gartside has been at Bolton for 20 years Bolton chairman Phil Gartside has called for a two-division Premier League to increase competition. "It would even everything out and make it more competitive", he added. Gartside, one of longest-serving chairmen in the top flight, believes in addition to making the Premier League - which currently has 20 teams - more competitive, the changes would solve a number of other problems. "You could have 36 Premier League clubs split into 18 and 18 and that would also solve the problems of the winter break and supporting the England team," he said. "We have already got to the situation where the three clubs that go down from the Premier League are usually the three that come up, although a couple of others might sneak in. Phil Gartside "I don't have the answers but it is certainly time for a debate - perhaps even on not having relegation from a second division of the Premier League." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/7687273.stm .
