  1. Gemmel you will have Mathew le God after you, he posted that business plan of Joe 24 hrs ago page 1022 post 51075
  2. Well I will take this seriously - I know a carpet fitter based in Eastleigh. He used to be a mod on here called St Landrew. I have his e-mail address but won't post it before I ask him if it is ok. Ok I have an update and I was a bit wrong but here is the real info. "I'm actually a Floor Layer and carpets are the among the things I do. I have never lived in Eastleigh..! Apart from that, I worked on/off for 20 years in IT, and 5 years in retail, as a Store Manager" .
  3. Rockers were real men, mods were wannabees but couldn't get past their little boys image. Mind you I will confess to really liking "The Who"
  4. I wonder if they studied a certain poster on here? Yes must have I think  There's no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy. The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle, according to lead researcher Gordon Hodson, a psychologist at Brock University in Ontario. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an email to LiveScience. http://www.livescience.com/18132-intelligence-social-conservatism-racism.html .
  5. http://www.thelocal.fr/2438/20120201/ Go to France???
  6. Every car in France will have to be equipped with a breathalyzer from the spring of 2012. The announcement was made by President Nicolas Sarkozy in a speech on Wednesday. The new plan will force every driver to have a breathalyzer kit in their cars so they can check their alcohol level before driving. The president's office said in a statement on Thursday that a kit costs just €1.50 to €2 ($2 to $2.70). Anyone caught without a kit will face a €17 ($23) fine. http://www.thelocal.fr/1920/20111201/ Yes I know that was published on 1st Dec 2011 but I have posted it just in case no-one saw it.
  7. Nothing appears for me.
  8. At another game in Cairo :- Another match in Cairo was halted by the referee after receiving news of the violence in Port Said, prompting fans to set parts of the stadium on fire, television footage showed. Violence at football matches across north Africa has increased significantly since political unrest sweeping across the region began more than a year ago. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/12786695/at-least-50-die-in-egyptian-soccer-pitch-invasion/ That was posted just over an hour ago hence lower numbers of people who have died. A sad sad day. :(
  9. I keep getting "problem loading page" probably in meltdown I expect
  10. When you read some of these posts and think "that was me years ago"
  11. Not a real fan then Only joking Honest
  12. How much tax would a normal club have to pay if they sold a player for 400,000?
  13. My wife had virtually the same reply from the FL with the addition of:- "Any deduction of points is not automatic and is at the Board discretion. The Football League is currently still investigating the situation at Portsmouth and it would be inappropriate for us to comment any further. I did the bold bit not the FL lady.
  14. Re the first CVA payment due 1st March I don't think they have to bother do they as didn't AA manage to string it along over several years when he was at Swindon? As to selling players don't they now need HMRC to agree now the WUP has been issued and maybe that's why they have had to turn down Ipswich? I still feel that the FL is too chicken to act and give them a points deduction and I am not at all confident the Court will close them down in Feb either. :x .
  15. Here you go SNSUN :- http://en.rocketnews24.com/2011/05/06/china-develops-automated-semen-collector-for-science/
  16. NSW firm seeks brothel sex inspector It’s billed as a bachelor’s dream job — being paid $70k annually to "partake of sexual services" at brothels in NSW on behalf of local councils. An advertisement for the job as a "Brothel Buster Investigator", placed by Lyonswood Investigations and Forensic Group in Sydney, was published in My Career in late January. Applicants were required to be unmarried and preferably single, to be willing to have protected sexual intercourse with prostitutes and to provide sworn evidence in court. Lyonswood operations manager Lachlan Jarvis told ninemsn it was a completely legal service the company had provided for local councils in NSW for many years. Councils hire the investigator to visit suspected illegal brothels and gather evidence to prove they are offering sexual services, Mr Jarvis said. "Some [jobs] require the offering of sexual services, some actually require the partaking of sexual services … because it is considered the most convincing evidence," he said. More info here :_ http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8410960/nsw-firm-seeks-brothel-sex-inspector Sorry position has been filled. .

  20. No sorry I don't play golf, my neighbour does though perhaps I could get some from him ??
  21. No help I am afraid to say, but I have just spoken to a plumber friend who has had over 45 years in the trade and he says he has never come across anything like you describe. However if you would like to pay for a return business class ticket he might come over and have a look.
  22. Anyone heard of "Spawnbreezie and J Boog" ?? They appear very well known as fans were queing up for photos and autographs yesterday. Had a chat with them and their crews/band and they actually seemed quite decent blokes. I have never heard of them so treated them as normal people ( unlike their fans who were in awe of them ) and they seemed to like that for a change.
  23. Sorry but IMHO it's a Mickey Mouse tournament played by mainly nobodies. The kind of competition England would love to enter as even they should manage to win it.
  24. Why the re-post? This was post 49767 on page 996 of the Pompey thread and posted by Mathew le God.
  25. I have a Bank account in the U.K. as well as here in N.Z. Does this mean that I am to be classed as an "Arry" ?
