  1. I'm going if possible, and I'll take a couple of flares (they're yellow) :/.
  2. You mean, he could've died??
  3. Just ignore him, he craves attention seemingly. And I too am f*cked off this'll be on Sunday. I purposely arranged my contract to avoid clashes with football, and then they go and move it onto my work Sunday.
  4. £3? That is massive. My god, that is huge. I can understand how that could greatly cripple your financial condition. Best to avoid paying that at all costs mate.
  5. I really don't understand this desperation to overstate the quality of Pardew's tenure here. It would've been a fantastic job if he had led us to the playoffs (bearing in mind Leeds got to the playoffs with a -17 deduction), and had managed to maintain a good relationship with Cortese (vital to keep a good relationship with the Chairman as a modern day manager). As it was, Pardew did a good job. Not spectacular, but a good, solid job of rebuilding our club. He built the foundations for Adkins, I agree with that part of your post.
  6. Personally I think it speaks volumes about our club.
  7. Hopefully Radhi's still got 'it'. Looked dodgy pre-season, so maybe he's losing his legs a bit as time progresses. We as a team need a new dominant CB, as does Jose. Maybe Jos will be that man, who knows. Fonte won't look as good until he has a regular CB partner and regular starters in defence. Plus, as has been said, he's playing against tougher strikers now. Of course someone of his talent would look miles and miles above in class when playing against players of the calibre of Odejayi.
  8. Woosh.
  9. Lambert.
  10. Is it just me that feels sorry for Mitchell after watching the video on TomCoull's twitter feed? Bournemouth fans are a bunch of mongs.
  11. I think some people are going OTT. The defensive issues, in my view, came from Fox being far too central. He needed to push out onto the wing to ensure they didn't have as much space. The amount of space they were getting on his wing was incredibly disappointing. This can be said about Cork's side too, but he's not a RB by trade. Hooiveld was very composed and I can see him fitting in with Nigel's style well. Some of his headers went a bit askew, some not far enough and put us under pressure at times. The other defensive issue was general loss of concentration and bad marking. We let them slide the ball through so so easily on several occasions. Dissapointing. Lallana was quality considering how quickly he was closed down. Guly was great as well, gave the ball away a few times but his workrate is top notch. Lambert obviously gets praise for his hattrick and winning us the game, but for me he seemed a bit slow to get into the area. We need him in there getting on the end of crosses more. Still, he played well and will become a Southampton great when he retires under Nigel's guidance. Davis pulled off some WORLD CLASS saves to keep us in it. Thank god for super Kelv. Connolly was rusty and a bit off the pace, which is weird considering his previous form. Only reason we came under pressure/ looked like conceding was lack of pressure on their players, something we have been generally good at. This coupled with poor fullback positioning led to some very nervy periods. BUT WE HELD ON AND GOT THE THREE POINTS AFTER GOING A GOAL DOWN. COYS
  12. No better than what we currently have. In fact, I rate Barnard, Guly, Connolly (and obviously Lambert) much higher than him.
  13. Jack Cork must feel a bit weirded out.
  14. Wasn't it the mirror that printed the deal for Fox and Rodriguez?
  15. I'll probably buy my tickets on the day @ the TO. Should be fine I reckon.
  16. I rate him defensively and his physique is second to none, his crossing is very good and I don't know how people can slate that. He does get skinned every now and again but so does everyone. He can hit a decent crossfield ball too.
  17. 25k at best IMO.
  18. Billy Sharp talks broke down, probably due to wages. We had a bid of 3.25m accepted apparently.
  19. Need a ladder to get out of that hole??
  20. Deary me. I'm off to northstandchat.
  21. Oi. I work at ASDA and live with my parents. Mind you, I'm 18. Still, stop generalising please.
  22. Beckford?
  23. We've just been promoted from League 1. Get some f*cking perspective.
  24. You take forums waaaayyyyyy too seriously.
  25. what was with the majority of the fans tonight? Most of them sat down and simply watched. No singing, encouragement, nothing. Terrible performance by alot of the fans tonight. Disappointing.
