Who is more important Lallana or Chamberlain
sfc4prem replied to alki_in_korea's topic in The Saints
Lallana. Alex had a great impact, his pace tore some teams apart, but he spent have the same ability on the ball as Adam. Lallana really does make our team tick, he can open up defences for us time and time again. They're both special, but Lallana means much more to our team. And besides, Chamberlain's off to the Gunners in the summer. -
Not confirmed by anyone at the club. So yeh, assumptions followed by a few people slitting wrists.
-
Guly polarises opinions of fans, much like Waigo. I firmly believe his unpredictability and ocassional piece of individual flair is vital, especially when we're without Lallana. We'd be worse off without him.

Fonte: Chamberlain should stay, for now.

Replace him with someone like Pilkington please. -
Why drop Guly from the squad completely? And what about N'Guessan?

I have a scary feeling that Nigel will still try the diamond....
-
They will have a better stadium than us in every regard bar capacity. The Amex will be awesome. Of course, when we get back into the PL and need to build a new one...

I think some are underestimating Brighton. I reckon it'll be a reality check, much like the Rochdale game. 3-0 to Brighton would be my prediction. I also would like to add that their obsession with us is beyond funny. Would love to see us beat them with a Connolly overhead kick in the 89th minute, but I doubt it somehow

I think we'll see him again at Old Trafford.

Markus Liebherr Tributes / Walsall Game Tribute
sfc4prem replied to saint peach's topic in The Saints
Surely if you go around asking for donations toward it at home games, you'll easily raise enough. -
He kicked his victim repeatedly in the head whilst they were lying on the floor after he knocked him down, didn't he?

I have lots of mates that are Pompey fans. Pretty nice people, up for a bit of banter. Sad thing is i don't really hate Pompey. Don't see any need for any of the intimidating rivalry between the two clubs. I can't walk around in my Saints shirt without fear of abuse, and I live a good 12 miles from Portsmouth. Sad really. And what is even more sad is that Brighton fans feel the same sort of resentment for us as some Pompey mentalists. I don't remember any congratulation thread for Norwich last season.
-
Why are we congratulating those bunch of winkers? They abuse us consistently on Northstandchat, and I cannot understand why. A massive amount of them have it in for us for no reason and for that reason they aren't getting any congratulations from me for getting out of this sh*thole.

Rochdale 2 - 0 Southampton - Post Match Reaction
sfc4prem replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
You're view is depressing, isn't it? We're second, a game in hand, and have the easier run in than Huddersfield. Why would you predict us to get playoffs?? We simply can't accept the playoffs, we're just not that sort of team. -
Doesn't sound like we'll score tonight.... Hopefully the lads'll prove me wrong.

Rochdale V Southampton - First Half and Half Time Thread
sfc4prem replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
The diamond has been found out. Lack of width taken advantage of, as it was by Orient (but they didn't score). Sort it out Adkins and get us a f*cking point. -
Pray to god he isn't. sent down
-
Yeh I wanted to see how badly we could do and still get second. Looking good.
-
Just did the predictor. Had us losing to Brighton and Hartlepool, and drawing to Rochdale and Brentford. We came second with 85, Huddersfield were third with 83/4.
-
F*cord off with the Hudds result. Will give them alot more belief that they can continue the unbeaten run. Hopefully they'll still drop some more points in their upcoming games. Cracking result for us though! Had this down as a 1-1! Great noise from the Saibts fans, we held on, and now I can go and relax with a couple of beers in the sunshine. GET IN THERE YOU SAINTS!!

My nerves can't take any more of this. Although a draw wouldn't have been to bad pre-kick off we REALLY need to hang on to this. COYS
