On an additional (and really boring) note, how shit is our pitch? I know it had that disease a while ago, but fuck me. It really sums up the diseased club we are at the minute.

My fucking god. I don't think I've ever watched a Saints game where I've actually fucking laughed out loud at how fucking shit we are. It's absolutely farcical. Grimsby deserved that. Fair fucking play to them. We just keep getting served plates piled to the fucking rafters full of shit. No ideas, no fluency, no potency, no belief. Laughable. Lyanco is so fucking poor it beggars belief. I mean, no one really comes out with credit but it only looks like we have three decent players in KWP, JWP and Lavia (though the latter wasn't great by his standards).

I do wonder whether Sky has received extra income recently from somewhere in the Middle East, pertaining to their discussions about a certain northern club.

I'm flitting between feeling real 'all or nothing' confidence that we'll get the win, and feeling anxious that our mentality as a team is too fragile to get anything more than a draw... It's a big one!

Desperate times. It'd be such a shame to see us relegated, especially as SR fucked the first half of this season with their ineptitude.

It's a shame really, as there were definitely periods under Ralph that we looked a decent outfit and were in the upper parts of the league. Like the poster above says, it would have been interesting to see what Ralph's reign would have looked like with this-January-level investment from the outset. As for Selles, I really do hope he's the real deal and we've got ourselves a strong manager. Even if we were relegated (still a likely prospect) but played well and picked up some wins and draws, I'd like to see how he would get on in the Championship.

Its pretty simple really, we need a huge upturn in form. We need over a point per game for the rest of the season. These relegation 6 pointers simply cannot be losses otherwise it's getting close to curtains for us.

This is the big issue. We have the capacity in terms of ability, just not that mental resilience, focus and belief. That leads to 'bad luck' games or moments. If we see Leeds turn into a win it will really build some momentum and confidence. Lose and it will feel like we are back to square one, especially as it is a relegation rival we are playing. The thing about the Chelsea result is it gives us a bit of hope. It's the hope that kills you as a fan, especially when that hope is dashed in the next game.

Didn't stand much chance against Chelsea anyway, but wow. Bednarek must have incriminating photos of the whole management team and board. Salisu and DCC? Ely? What is going on...

Unsure about Marsch. Good luck to him. We need some positivity going forward, some performances and results to get behind.

So many poor chaps and chapettes who still have (a sliver) of hope that we can stay up. I feel for you, I really do. Embrace acceptance. We will be relegated, sadly. The damage has been done. You can't say 'we are only 4 points away from safety' without adding in the context of our performances to date and the fixtures we still have to come. A big refocus needed in the summer.

It is Rasmus's philosophy. Bring in those that have failed elsewhere because Rasmus has seen some fabled excellence in them that no one else could see realised. Did it with Bednarek (failed with us and with Villa - let's bring him back) and Jones (failed with Stoke, let's bring him in).

Rasmus has doubled down on his fucking terrible judge of manager. If this bloke keeps making the decisions, our trajectory will remain the same. We'll be playing Wrexham soon enough.

Glad I'd already got to the point of accepting relegation. This result doesn't hurt as I'm completely fucking numb to it all, which in itself is a shameful indictment of both our players' weaknesses and Jones's ineptitude. Life goes on. Fuck off Jones.

No, I'm pretty sure most won't be fucking happy, with us propping up the league and looking arguably more bereft of identity, passion, technique and playing style than we had done under the jaded and shite Ralph. We're all fucking elated, aren't we. Abject.

If you consider the performance of our club over the last year, you might consider changing that statement. I'd say the fans have been very patient.
