  1. But what about our defensive midfield, defence and goalkeeper?

    True 😂

We fucking ain't the pride of the South now, are we!? Brighton beating Man City today, Bournemouth beating Spurs yesterday, whilst we draw away at Watford 😅
  4. Wait, what!?!?! A physically strong CM!?!?! If this is true, I will need a fucking box of Kleenex right away.
  5. Please be a permanent.
  6. I hope those nerves from some fans don't translate into them being sat in fucking silence or groaning if there is a misplaced pass. Need to see some passion and commitment for 90 minutes from our supporters.
  7. That was an absolutely brilliant finish. Most keepers getting beaten with that. Agreed.

    Flynn Downes

The bloke's commitment is questionable. He would jump at the chance to join Ipswich or West Ham. Clearly doesn't like it on the South Coast, which in itself is fucking weird. It's a fucking great place to live, Flynn.

I don't care how, I want it NOW! Is the song I hear in my head when I read some posts.
  11. I agree with your first two words. If the latter part of your comment becomes reality then we are quite fucked indeed, especially considering our recent outlay on midfielders.
  12. And yet people expect us to burst into this season winning games at a canter?
  13. A few have said it, but we are in dire need of a midfield enforcer. Someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck. A Romeu or Wanyama type. We've been like limp celery in the centre of the pitch for too long.
  14. Agreed. It was a superb hit. Prowsey would've been happy with that accuracy. Not many keepers, if any, getting to that.
  15. I've said this recently, he dives so late. He doesn't have the instincts of a goalkeeper.
  16. Haha, good one! Agreed, he hasn't performed in front of goal for us. I hope he does, and sharpish.
  17. I'm sure it will once we have all of the players in the door. No stress! We've only played a few fucking games, pal.
  18. Lots to moan about but I'm not too concerned. Win at home, draw away.
  19. I also remember Vest absolutely leathering the ball from all of 45 yards against Brighton(?) at St Mary's and hitting the bar?
  20. I agree, he has a tenacity about him and is one of those old school, dive in front of a shot type defenders. I feel he has the potential to make errors that give the opposition scoring opportunities, though.
  21. Mmm. I watched it too - rare for me, to be honest. I only tend to watch games not involving Saints if they are 'big' games - finals or relegation scraps or derbies. It was a close affair, but I felt that Leicester got a bit lucky at times. Birmingham got into the danger area a fair few times and couldn't finish. Equally, Leicester do have some quality and move up the pitch very quickly. Mavididi, Daka, Fatawu, heck, even Ayew all have a bit of tenacity, technique and end product about them. I even saw Vestergaard ping a ball brilliantly forward to the foot of their striker who had made a run. I think Leicester will be up there. Birmingham, if they get their shooting boots on (much like us) and stop passing about at the back too frequently (like a Russball team) will probably make the playoffs.
  22. Leicester recently won the FA Cup and Premier League, perhaps?
  23. I'd prefer to ship out Wood. If we sell THB we'd need to get a replacement, leaving us little time at all to do so...
  24. Little point in being pessimistic or worrying. What's the use?
