  1. Wayne Thomas?
  2. We always play the big teams when they're having an off day, didn't you know?
  3. Internazionale still have some ferclucking good players in their team, with the likes of Perisic just sitting on the bench. They obviously have quality, just haven't got into gear at all this season. For us to dominate as we did, with 7000 loud and proud fans, and only sheer bad luck costing us a draw or win, leaves a warm feeling in my heart. As another poster put it, to paraphrase; "If I had chicken for dinner, we'd have won". It really was that close. A gnats scrote away from all three points at the San Siro. It could be worse! Work on our finishing and we're sorted.
  4. Good point,, but we could sure do with Jay Rod fully fit and how he was back in 2013.
  5. Tough game tonight. Would be chuffed to bits with a win given our form in front of goal recently.
  6. Of course it's the language barrier. You try speaking to a bunch of journalists in a language you haven't tried speaking at any great length before. The bloke's only been in the country a couple of months and is being lambasted left, right and centre by people who support the team he is managing! Give him half a season at least to both learn the language and prove himself as our manager Coyr
  7. The Premier League and Sky have created such a monstrosity with the massive injections of capital they have put in. The figures being bandied about this transfer window are absolutely ridiculous.
  8. Only if they offer above and beyond. We clearly haven't.
  9. It's because we're punching well above our weight. You won't see Stoke City having a player of Mané's age and quality.
  10. We're not signing Kevin Gameiro are we?
  11. I was thinking Martins age would be a negative, but we only keep players for a few years so I stopped worrying. He'd be a magnificent addition from the little I've seen.
  12. We would if the player didn't want to go. Why would Ighalo want to move to China at this point in his career? Unless he's completely interested in money and not advancing his CVV then it would make no sense. If an Iranian club offered us and VvD big bucks then both of us would reject it. If we want to keep a player and the player would rather stay here than go to the prospective club, the player stays. If we want to keep a player and the player wants to go to the prospective club, we get the best fee possible rather than having an unhappy player (unless we do what we did with Schneiderlin and keep them an extra year with an agreed sale at the next summer break). Simple, really.
  13. How can Virgin Media arrange free trains when they trade separately to VirginTrains?
  14. No chance.
  15. Take a look at @ArturBoruc's Tweet:
  16. Don't underestimate the draw of the premier league when casting a skeptical glower at any articles linking us to people with the stature of Unai Emery.
  17. Frank de Boer would be a great appointment.
  18. There's too much water under the bridge now. Too many things have been said by our fans already. The bloke's bridges have been burnt by the same people who were most probably chanting his name a month ago.
  19. Neither are a patch on Mane. He's going to be the hardest to replace. Absolute steal he was. On his day he can roast the best of defenders. Good to have a player like that in the side. Townsend and Redmond aren't a patch on the bloke.
  20. You won't have to wait long. We're going to be far too much for a distracted Palace tomorrow. We're in great form, and nothing other than a win will do. I can see us putting a few past them tomorrow. Tough game for West Ham, but I reckon they'll just about edge it.
  21. The one player we can never seem to deal with is Carroll. Should be an interesting game and reckon West Ham will hit us on the break several times. Hopefully Austin's back as has been said. His clinical finishing could prove the difference with Forster between the sticks.
  22. This thread has taught me that a few people take themselves and life in general far too seriously. Lighten up for Christ's sake, you might pop your clogs tomorrow for all you know.
