The fact that people bothered to complain about the adverts doesn't surprise me. What actually does surprise me is that in all cases (excluding the Walkers one) the ASA either didn't investigate the complaint or rejected them. Could it be that someone with common sense has infiltrated the ASA?

Having got a Sega classics compilation for my birthday, I now realise how foolish I was to leave Kid Chameleon off my list of best games!

In case anyone does suffer from a similar problem, after countless emails to and from Sony telling me to open various ports on my router, I gave up and just put the PS3 in the DMZ and have since been able to redownload a couple of games and update some others without any install failures. I don't know if this was caused by the 2.70 firmware update, but I've certainly not changed any network settings since last year, so...

This is what I would have thought, but the error message hasn't even got a real definition, and no-one I've spoken to at Sony has mentioned possible fixes. Though they're probably not even willing to admit there is a problem! I suppose the one silver lining to this is that I do manage to get some more constructive things done in the evening at the moment, but I miss Killzone

I'm apparently about half way down the queue for their network gaming experts, does this mean they've got a lot of people with the same problem? No idea whether they'll get anywhere, but I just spoke to a tech guy at consoles & gadgets http://www.consolesandgadgets.co.uk and he said they've had a lot of enquiries in the past few weeks since the 2.70 firmware update has been released. He reckoned it should be repairable for £90 - £120. Out of interest, has anyone got a PS3 60GB premium version bought around September-October 2007?

Thanks, there's an interesting comment on the youtube link: As the problem is with every download now both game updates and DLC from the Playstation store, I wonder if this might be the problem? If it is, and as the unit is out of warranty, what are the odds of getting support from Sony?

This should see you right: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/game/946229.html

Ok, so far I have: 1) reinstalled the 2.70 update (not that it needed it). 2) reformatted and re-installed the o/s (3 1/2 hours!!) 3) used the recovery menu to rebuild the file system and database. and apart from managing to get Worms and Pain working again, I seem to have an expensive, quite nice looking brick under my tv. Anyone got any guesses what Sony might be willing to do if their tech support ever get back to me?

They're open in the morning, from 9am I think.

Have you got a debit card? that'll probably be your only option, unless you can borrow someone else's.

Kelly advised me to get an adult & child ticket, cost £30, I left the location up to her.

I was just thinking, can we offer to pay an hours overtime for them too

She was extremely helpful when I called, though I think she might have one hell of a busy friday afternoon now!

Sorry Roswell, I followed Trousers' advice before seeing the pm. Though it does seem that there is an official process being rapidly put in place!

'tis done, thanks for the advice.

I've just confused some poor lass on the ticket booking line. What's the process here? Am I supposed to just book the tickets normally, then phone the club separately to confirm the donation? btw what's the best part of the ground for these tickets?
-
Ok, I'll buy a couple, though do I need a membership? I'm a plastic fan you see and haven't even got one of those!

I was going to buy a ticket or two knowing that I couldn't go, but then felt guilty if that meant someone else couldn't get a ticket. If I do buy one then, can it genuinely be put to good use?
