Austin Jay Rod Højbjerg and hopefully Fonte all come in for Yoshida JWP Romeu and Long or Redmond, reason for Long or Redmond to be dropped is they can not work as one needs a bit of height and strength to hold the ball up specially at OT of which I think Austin would be perfect for, Romeu played well last week but I think let Hojberg play the playmaker/QB holding role to get the ball to Tadic or Jay Rod on the wings would be great, both can cut in and score or whip in a cross to Austin or Long/Redmond. Also if Bertrand is fit I assume he would come off the bench.

It gets to a point where we need to start asking questions as this is not how you run a football club looking to push on each year, IMO we got lucky with Koeman he brought him 2-3 players he knew of as cheap replacements and we did really well, now the club think we can do this every summer and one year we will get caught out, however I hope the caught out year is we finish say 11th/12th which could be this season as we lack depth for the 4 competitions, I could be wrong and we keep Fonte and make a major signing on transfer deadline day. I hope Jay Rod and Austin can stay fit as they will help us stay in the top 8 as lets be honest that has to be the aim, City,Utd,Arsenal,Liverpool,Chelsea and Spurs will be the top 6, everyone else is fighting for 7th and hoping that secures a EL spot.

I think he made the wrong decision with regards to Austin when he came on I feel he should of brought on Jay Rod instead who is quicker and more suited the style of play at the time of the game, otherwise Puel made the right subs. I do hope Jay Rod can get himself in the team and 90% back to how he was because otherwise we will struggle for goals, Davis JWP Romeu and Hojberg won't score loads but will play a crucial part in assists. Lets also remember yesterday we had no Fonte or Bertrand and if them two play we most likely win that game, however with Fonte now looking like he is off we need a CB in ASAP with at least 2-3 years of prem experience.

Wonder if lives in Southampton as I know most live in Winchester and Romsey way, nice to see a player take a interest in the city, Barcelona is a great city so I assume he is used to growing up in citys with history.

I do hope Utd are not interested in him, he would be a regular this season. I do not see him going to Everton if they bid for him, specially as its looking they are not spending 100 million and improving, I would still say we have the better team but they have the proven and maybe better manager.

I like Martina he seems a good guy and scored a great goal for us along with a few good defensive displays but he was not good enough defensively on a consistent basis, maybe a transfer to a championship team would be ideal for him, of course we want more exciting signings but adding good depth is just as important and will help us when we have injuries and loads of games in a short space of time with EL.

I would offer him a new deal that pays him whatever EFC or MUFC are offering we can not afford to lose Fonte especially for 9 million, 15 million would make me consider the offer a bit more.

Fonte being linked with a 9 mill move to EFC now, they can double that offer if they want him that bad.

Mane deal looks a bargin now and we really should of held out for more or tell the player he is staying, Everton will be getting stupid money for Koeman to spend if Stones goes for 50 and Lukaku for 65-70. However I see they are really ambitious and signed loads of good players this summer already. I really hope Long Jay Rod and Austin can stay fit because if we need a striker the current market seems ridiculous for a top striker.

Unless you are a top 4/5 team you will lose players, look at LCFC they will be losing Marhez and Kante after winning the league and CL football this season. We are slowly becoming a bigger club by finishing top 8 regularly but to grow even more we need to over the next 2-3 years carry this on and get a League cup or FA cup win, regular europa league football and make the knock out stages and start to offer big wages however this will only stop summers of multi player sales and we will still lose the best player every season or two if one of the big boys come in, unless of course we become a top 4 regular which I never see us doing and this is a sad reality that football is actually **** for non big clubs as we celebrate 6th place as winning the league. This is why we should of years ago done a american style system to ensure competitiveness, obviously doing drafts etc is impossible to do but if the FA introduce a rule once you sign a new contract you can not leave until you serve at least half of it or apply this to players promoted from the academy on the first contract they sign.

I think point 3 is wrong, Jay Rod and Austin if they stay fit are more then good enough to help us finish top 8. However I agree it is not acceptable for the best players to be sold every season and to have Les Reed lie to us again, however so much of the fan base accept it so they think they can get away with it, we will get found out one season and finish much lower and maybe even get relegated, however I think worse case this season coming up we finish 11th/12th if Jay Rod and Austin struggle to play 30 or more games. Puel is unknown and maybe he can guide us to another top 8/7 finish and a good cup run but we need to reserve judgement until Nov/Dec.

I need to see more from Gardos as IMO he can become a solid CB, but I feel a loan deal to a championship club maybe needed to help him.

Happy for Fonte he has proven stay loyal and grow with a club and you can still play european football and for your country. I really think Cedric will have a great season next year, he can whip a good cross in and should we use Austin and Jay Rod well and keep them fit he can get plenty of assists along with Tadic Bertrand and Redmond.

Good read, I am realistic to say I do not think we will finish 6th again but 7th or 8th would be nice with a good cup run while Puel builds his team, I do hope they do not jinx it and we lose Pelle and VVD because I think we lose them we would be a midtable team unless Austin and Jay Rod can play 30 plus league games.

30 Mill is a good deal for both clubs however I expect us to demand 35 or he stays, we really need to stamp down on this regular summer of selling it is becoming a joke.

I think whoever comes in will struggle for top 6 next season, if he can get us 9th-7th a good cup run and promote more youth I will be happy. It maybe a case of taking a step back this season (league position wise) to go forward again.

Great news, we have a core of players on new deals. Now to get a new manager in.

I think he is a good striker but he has had injury issues nearly 31 and is hot and cold, I think he goes next summer anyway so we may as well cash in for him this summer and get a younger replacement and hope we can keep Austin and Jay Rod fit and to the form they both had 2-3 years ago. As for being Italy's number 9 the Italian squad is crap this year like it was in WC 2014, he would never make the national team squad from the 80s to 2012 let alone start.

Austin Long and Jay Rod are all better strikers then Pelle, problem is 2 of them have had long term injuries, I wouldn't mind Pelle going for 9 mill and then see if we can bring Lambo back home for a season for maybe half the price, I am sure he would rather be a rotation player here then WBA. However I am sure the new manager will want his own new big man striker.

We wont march on everytime and we can not have this keep on happening, there will be a point when we go backwards. This summer we must show intent and replace Koeman asap with a proven European manager and only allow Wanyama to go and let the new man bring in some top quality players. I have a bad feeling this summer will be worse then the Poch one, I think we get a crap manager like Moyes and lose loads of players, I would rather we get back Adkins and finish midtable.

Everton paying us 4 million for his services plus maybe more for his brother = good buiness by the board, add 7 million a year they are paying him on wages I really can not see how they are going to stand up in FFP if they then go and spend 100 million before selling Lukaku, factor in wages of them players probably being between 50-60k a week at least, they are a bigger club then us but not by that much in merchandise and commercial income surely ? Also factor in Koeman spends 100 mill plus he is getting paid 7 mill a year and next season they finish 7th or 8th, how stupid are they going to look and Koeman.

Would love to do this on Koeman and Everton, they try to screw us we screw them instead, Everton would be IMO be in a relegation battle as it would cause so much uncertainty it would see Lukaku Barkley Stones etc all leave and they would have a temp head coach in place, if they dont and go for someone else that person knows they was not number 1 choice.

Pellegrini would be amazing, he showed at Malaga he can annoy the big boys in the league, I think he could help us carry on this fine progression, I think a top 8 finish and a cup win would be achievable with him, Whoever we bring in needs to at worse ensure we finish 8th and give Europa league a fair wack otherwise West Ham and maybe even Everton will grow and we will fall back into midtable or bottom half.

Please tell me all who think Barca is too much of a big jump for him, what major clubs Rijkaard Tito Pep and Enrique managed before Barca ?

Everton have not agreed a fee with us yet, I would expect Erwin would go with him so I would demand 10 million for them both at least and dig more into there so called massive money pot. Koeman lacks complete class for saying he will be here one more season many times and then leaving, also it will prove he cares more about money then winning, why not stay with us until his dream job comes up aka the Barca job.
