  1. Just shows the sensational work Puel did to achieve what he did with the set of players at his disposal. If Ralph does half as good as a job with an equally good/poor squad then the wins will come sooner rather than later. I think once he gets his first win on the board, we'll go on a bit of a run.
  2. A better performance would be nice. We can't really play much worse though.
  3. The Redmond penalty decision was a shocker but Armstrong went down too easily, wasn't a foul for me. Easy to blame the ref but we'd have probably still missed the penalty anyway.
  4. Long will be an essential component to the success of this team. I think he'll find his form again, the system will suit him.
  5. I know people don't like Hoedt, but I think with the right coaching he'll be alright for us.
  6. Absolutely.
  7. If one good thing comes from this, it'll be that Hassenhuttl realises that half the squad isn't good enough.
  8. Targett is giving me Danny Fox vibes here
  9. Intriguing line up, particularly in defence.
  10. Austin has been awful in recent games but he was much more involved at Tottenham. Maybe a new manager is what he needs.
  11. I've been saying this for ages, we simply have too much dross in the squad.
  12. They probably think Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur is their song too. I always associated it with Man Utd growing up.
  13. Next season will see this thread come back to life, the fans already are getting ahead of themselves, I can't wait for the crash and burn. And it'll hurt them because we got out of the Championship with the click of the fingers
  14. Less time for him to spend on instagram, boohoo
  15. The most exotic managerial name they were ever able to attract was Alain Perrin. Even Ronald Koeman turned them down, back when he was a relative managerial nobody.
  16. The Wigan game was Hughes's first, so technically he was. But yes, going on solely league games, you have to go way back. I think it might actually be Sturrock.
  17. Bednarek looks out of breath already. Good.
  18. It's good that we have someone who seems to have an excellent footballing mind. I won't put him in the world-class category just yet, but let's hope he can reach those very high standards.
  19. People can rewrite history as they want, the fact is we only needed to win two games, two absolutely massive games, in particular that Swansea away game, and we did just that.
  20. No, I think we'll stay up pretty comfortably to be honest.
  21. Cardiff aren't a very good team.
  22. If we create as many chances as we did last night then we'll beat them.
  23. Interesting line, he'll be in charge next season even if we go down. I'm glad in a way, we need to start thinking long-term again. I'm quite confident that we won't go down though.
