Standard

We simply have to win. They're bottom of the league, zero excuses if we get less than three points. At home against teams of a similar quality to us, we have been table to take the lead (Leicester and Brighton), so if we can maintain that side of things and show our defensive capabilities as we did against Bournemouth, we should be able to get the three points.

The standard of MLS is terrible. The attacking quality I would argue at the moment is Championship standard, the defending League 2.

Yup, I expected the worse and happy to be proved wrong. Bournemouth weren't at the races but defensively we looked solid. McCarthy didn't have a lot to do and that's down to us stopping their play.

Long was superb when he came on, caused them all sorts of problems.

Newcastle is the must win game, I said I'd be content with 4 points from these 2 games.

I only watched the second half, but we were the better team. Bournemouth, as always, bottle it against us. They almost looked scared

As much as I would like him to come here, I think he's got his sights a lot higher than us. Unless we've completely changed our strategy and are going to be throwing mega bucks around.

I'll be judging him after the next two games. No wins in either of them and I'm afraid my judgement will be that we'll need a new manager. I do expect us to beat Newcastle at home, so that's the big game. Knowing us though he'll be judged in March when it's too late.

Yeh, in terms of achievements this century, Koeman has to be top, then it goes: Puel Strachan Pochettino Adkins (would be higher obviously but I'm going by Premier League only for this list) Sturrock Pellegrino Wigley Redknapp Relative to the strength of the squad, Puel would be top by a country mile.

Bournemouth are an odd one, win 4-0 one week, lose 4-0 another week. Defensively neither team are particularly good.
