Bring back four saints players to save our team.

Managed by a certain H. Redknapp? -
Early prediction, but I'm not sure we have much of a chance on Sunday...

What we need to do in the short term, to fix the first team

It's definitely time to stop persisting with Austin, that much is certain. We lack a creative number 10 IMO. Boufal should've been that player but barely turned up. -
Not a chance, Hughes isn't that stupid. Austin will be dropped for a centre back, Ings up top.

Given that we asked for a game to be postponed when Markus passed away, I can't imagine any reason why we would object.

We kept Bournemouth out, many teams this season have failed there, defensively we’re actually doing OK. Obviously Man City will be a different story
-
Bring back Gordon Strachan I say. At least the fans will be on board with him and he won't take any sh!t from these primadonna players.

Behave. Ludicrous statement.
-
Stoke would've stayed up had Hughes still been in charge, they only won what was it once after he left? If someone like Jardim is available and he wants to come here, then we should make a move for him immediately. Or someone who can coach an attack.
-
No idea what team will be named for this one, Gunn in goal one assumes, does Hughes chop and change or try and name a settled team? Given we play on the Sunday next week anyway I'd be tempted to at least stick with the same defence.
-
If we ever hired that fat fraud I would actively want us to be relegated.
-
The only reason for not sacking Hughes is that there isn't anyone better out there (who would come to us). At least defensively we looked solid, that's the only positive from today. We'll see how solid we really are next weekend.
-
The fact that we've won once in ten games and aren't in the relegation zone shows how awful some of the teams really are. Write off Man City away, but Fulham away is essential now. I'd get rid of Hughes this evening tbh, just get someone in like Jardim and then give him a war chest in January and replace the mediocre players we have. It won't happen because Reed and Krueger don't have the balls to do so.
-
Same players who failed to perform for other managers still fail to perform, what a surprise. Not.
-
Newcastle were abject, but we didn't do enough to win the game, didn't test the goalkeeper, overall very poor. If Jardim is available and wants to come then get him in now. Can't see why he would though, we essentially need an entire new team.
-
Overall, poor. These aimless long balls forward have got to stop, I don't have a problem with us trying to get the ball forward quickly but not when it's straight to an opponent. Thankfully, our opponents are terrible. I still think we'll end up winning.
-
Both teams are terrible. We are marginally better, but this is a low quality game.
-
Are they allowed to do that?
-
I'm confident we're going to win. I really hope it's comfortable but I have a feeling it will be a nervy tight game and McCarthy will keep us in it with a series of spectacular saves.

Hesketh and Flannigan join Burton Albion on loan
Pamplemousse replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Also puts to doubt the muppets who think they'd beat us easily. They really wouldn't, if we were to draw them in the cup we'd win with ease. We could name our reserves and still beat them. -
Adrian has always had problems with reality. He thinks a new manager will magically solve all our problems and we'll get to the Champions League just like that. Best to ignore his views, it's just the usual nonsense.
