He looked brilliant. Maybe the reboot of the Black Box has finally worked

Strange game, because for a large part we were absolutely dreadful. Midfield cut open, defensive gaps, misplaced passes, Ipswich looked quicker to everything. If you compare it to the Man Utd away performance, that was a miles better display. And yet... who the fuck cares, we won!! Absolute pandemonium in the away end!! We owe them that one for their late goals "Southampton, it's happened again"... yup it certainly has. See you next season hahahaha

If we can just combine the first 80 minutes against Man Utd, the second half from Forest and the opening 15 minutes to Newcastle, we should win 4-0.

Not the same mobility scooter in that Echo picture of the Old Dump?

Prutton's wife is the daughter of a former Saints player as well
-
What?! I was always told that Portsmouth fans are the most loyal around and never in any circumstances leave a game early...
-
We've got Michael Oliver as well, so please everyone in the ground be nice to him Trains are fucked again from London. Three times I've been up to East Anglia and every time there are rail replacement buses.
-
If a club is desperate, as teams often are in January, for a particular position, then they may feel it is worth it. Especially as many more teams will be in the running in the summer.
-
The one game we didn't bother with the banner was against Everton and we won! Sack them off, they're shit and it's even more embarrassing when we're bottom of the league.
-
And a Championship player who barely played for us last season. He does at least put the effort in, can't say the same about some others sadly
-
Ever since the Brentford debacle we have looked at the least competitive. I think Ipswich away next week is going to be our best chance to get a win this season. We owe them one anyway
-
The game reminded of when we played Rotherham away last season, around the same time I think. We won 2-0 and we weren't brilliant and they weren't awful, but we were just better than them. Same as today basically, just beaten by a better team.
-
The worst one last season was that Ipswich game away. Genuinely thought at one stage I was going to lose my head and randomly start punching Ipswich fans at the station. This one, the Leicester one was just sickening.
-
Super excited with this one, we're finally clicking, I reckon this is the game we finally see everything come together and we crush them
-
Well he's willingly chosen to come here so hopefully he will at least show a bit of fight and commitment.
-
I live away from Southampton so everyone I know supports different teams, and genuinely people pity us. It's pathetic.
-
The first half... not really a lot to say that hasn't been said already. We've seen the same performance a few times this season, soft goals conceded, no fight, utterly pathetic. I was fearing another Brentford, or worse, so I did not see the second half coming at all. The limbs if we'd have equalised would've been insane. Ultimately it comes down to the defence. Last 3 games we've conceded at least 3 goals and we've got no chance of winning anything if we keep on doing that.
-
If there is one team who has a vested interest in Derby not losing that unwanted record, it is Forest They won't win the league and have enough of a cushion for the top 4, so they can afford to lose this game and I reckon they'll give us a massive helping hand.
-
They're good on the counter attack, we need to sit in for 90 minutes and let them try to break us down.
-
He played well, he took his chance well. He is rapid, and any defender on the ball hates a striker like that. Perhaps Juric can get the best out of him.
-
On Boxing Day Sorry to go all MLG on you
-
United to get all complacent after two good performances away against Liverpool and Arsenal. Man United 0-6 Southampton, and the limbs in the away end will be unbelievable.
-
Absolutely agree Shea Charles should be recalled. He MUST be better than Joe Aribo in that position at least. Mateus Fernandes was able to make the step up pretty quickly, he and Downes with Charles would make a pretty decent midfield three.
