Cooper would be a no brainer. I can't see any Premier League team going for him tbh.
-
I'd keep him next season regardless, but I don't think he could survive the September 4 game losing streak like he did at the start of this season.
-
In theory the eleven for the play-offs is pretty clear, so time to give one last chance to the likes of Sulemana, Mara etc. to perform. Hopefully we adapt our tactics to play them on the counter attack, rather than the awful display at Leicester where we tried to pass through them and failed miserably.
-
Just seen there are engineering works on the line to Norwich on the Sunday we're due to play the away leg. Really hope Norwich slip up and West Brom pip them to 5th place.
-
We were shit. No idea how we'll play against a Leeds side equally deflated.
-
Defensively we were good apart from a couple of decent chances, remember Stephens clearing one off the line and Bazunu making a really good stop. Then we got a second goal in the second half and didn't tail off after 60 mins as we have been doing. That second goal killed the game off. From an attacking point of view it wasn't the best we've played but we were clinical. It was a very professional display away from home, especially as it was 3 days after the Bristol City horror show, and I thought after that we'd push on and cement a top two place.

You'd think a lower-ish Prem team would take a punt on him. Burnley signed Redmond ffs...
-
New CB and CM absolutely the priorities. I reckon we'll get a Prem keeper on loan, hopefully a decent current number 2 (or 3).
-
I put this in another thread but they're doing a lap of honour at the end of the game, as it's our last (regular) home game of the season. Stoke are shit and we should beat them really but let's see if there's any scar tissue.
-
I suppose it makes sense to do it for this weekend, that play-off game we'll either win and there'll be a pitch invasion or lose and everyone is deflated and we'll be doing a lap of honour in an empty stadium whilst the other team is celebrating with their fans.
-
Our home form will be enough I think to get us through to the final. Even if we're 1-0 down after the first leg, I'd back us to come back. And then hopefully we can muster up a display against Leeds like we managed in September.

The players and staff are doing a lap of honour at the end of the match

Some good news everyone - this was Sekou Mara's final game suspended!!
-
That's just not true. Not before the second goal.

Yeah fair point haha.

Before 60 mins, the only difference between the teams was they were much better organised in defence. They score a second and we crumble. This team has a mental weakness and that can't be coached. Btw, Martin is right, we need Jack Stephens. Maybe he isn't the best defender but he is a leader and right now we need him on the pitch. When the going gets tough, I'd rather have someone like him on than Bednarek.
-
I like Russell, he says the right things... but the reality is I can't see him succeeding as a manager. He can't set us up defensively, and that is what has cost us this season. This may seem weird, but if we stay down I'd keep him, if we go up sack him and get someone in better from the off.
-
We're linked with Patrick Pentz apparently. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Pentz Wouldn't be surprised if it was a season-long loan
-
Yup exactly this. I think Ipswich will get enough points to go up, same as Leicester, but it definitely makes things more interesting. Got to keep the faith!
-
The Hull away game springs to mind, a draw would have been a fair outcome. The QPR game as well (both home and away) we weren't at our best in either game.
-
West Brom as it's easier to get to and we've already done the double over them.
-
There have been comments from previous games saying that.
-
Hope Stephens does play, we needed him on the pitch yesterday.
-
The only skillset needed is knowing how to win. Which we've done more than 20 other teams in the division...
