  1. Away tickets are always paper but I wonder how long before it goes digital? Would mean if you transfer a ticket, you lose the credit against your customer number. I guess it would have to be implemented in agreement with every Prem club. Imagine having 20 different clubs' ticket apps
  2. I always see people on Twitter offering their season ticket customer numbers in advance of the sales period. Of course, they get the benefit of the game being credited to their account. Seems silly to me, especially if using your own name, I'm sure the club monitor that. I know other teams have done random ID checks on away supporters with names printed on the tickets, I wonder if we will go down the same route. Guess it depends if they see it as a big issue. If there are loads of empty seats at City or Wolves then maybe they will.
  3. I remember before I had a season ticket I got to loads of aways as a member - Palace, Arsenal, Spurs, even Brighton ffs. It's mad how crazy it's got tbh. We'll see how well we're doing come the new year, Man Utd away, Liverpool away, Everton away, they may not look so attractive.
  4. In the last game we were set up to be hard to beat (0-0 at half time with a very resilient defensive display) and then got a goal scoring on the counter. Tactically he got it spot on I'd say, until Arsenal's quality in the end shone through. Chalk and cheese compared to Brentford and Bournemouth for example where we did piss it away too easily, absolutely we weren't hard to beat. Meanwhile Ipswich got trounced 4-1 at a far inferior team, and supposedly with a far better manager in McKenna. But apparently we should copy their tactics. I do honestly feel if we get the first win (which is absolutely possible on Saturday) we'll look forward up the league table. Think we just need one game where it all falls into place. I'm feeling optimistic about Saturday tbh.
  5. If we play like we did against Ipswich and take our chances, we should win. Hopefully Archer getting his goal will give him a bit of confidence, he missed a couple he should've scored.
  6. Do you live in or around Southampton? If so, I'd suggest getting down to the stadium a couple of hours before kick off before the stadium opens, you might find people are willing to answer a couple of questions to help you and may be able to get a bigger range of answers from a more diverse selection i.e. from men/women, older/younger fans etc.
  7. It took me 1 minute to fill out.
  8. We have to be realistic. Based on last season, as the play-off winners, we're the 20th best team. The only relegation rival we've faced is Ipswich, and we should've won that game. If we fuck up against Leicester, Wolves, Everton, then we're in trouble and should look at changes. Martin isn't going to be sacked any time before then I'm sure. He's a young manager, learning all the time, yes I wish we had more points but I genuinely don't think we're a million miles off, if we can beat Leicester we'll move up the table quickly.
  9. That's on the players.
  10. Disagree. He got the tactics right today. If we play like we did against Ipswich and take our chances, we'll win.
  11. The performance was good. The first half we were really, really resilient. And the start of the second half was good, getting that early goal. Unfortunately we didn't hang on long enough and after their equaliser, the mood in the stadium shifted, they reacted to that and we didn't cope. Even so, at 2-1 we were in the game and had chances to equalise. Third goal, a really stupid goal to give away. Killed it. Overall, we did OK, Arsenal too good for us but we were competitive, unlike at Brentford and Bournemouth. We have it in us to compete at this level, I just feel if we get that first win we'll kick on.
  12. I don't think we're going to sack him any time soon, regardless of the result. The Leicester game will be more consequential
  13. 6-1 now hahahahaha This is brilliant
  14. 4-1 hahaha
  15. Hahahahaha, get in Gallagher.
  16. Nah, not acceptable. There were way too many instances where instead of keeping possession we had a shot at goal. And what are we doing crossing it in from the wings instead of recycling the ball??
  17. If anyone fancies a laugh, Stoke v the skates is on. Stoke winning 1-0 and well deserved. No matter how bad we are... they look a mess.
  18. Our best hope is that somehow he learns. He isn't that stupid to realise we have to change how we play to even have a chance of getting anything from the next two away games, Arsenal and Man City. And if he does insist on playing the slow, dour, possession stuff and we get tonked, then the blame will no longer be on Martin, but shift to that wanker Rasmus and whoever else is responsible at the top.
  19. We'll do what Rotherham did to us last season... maybe? Or maybe not. 6-0.
  20. Maybe we are waiting for Man Utd to sack Ten Hag and hope Jason Wilcox comes calling to take him off our hands
  21. I was fully on board the Martin train but last night did it for me. It's patently obvious that the tactics need to change, and Martin won't adapt. Therefore, reluctantly, and with an appreciation that he got us promoted last season, a change is necessary. I'd give him the Arsenal game because it's a free hit but then get someone in ready after the international break.
  22. If only we hadn't missed that penalty.
  23. Out of the 8 ties, 6 of them have to be on the Wednesday as one of the teams play on the preceding Sunday, only our game and Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday can play on either day, so it will almost certainly be played on Tuesday. Bad news for Sky that all of the big teams have to play on the same day
  24. We've won there 4 times out of the last 6, including the last 3 in a row. Whatever the opposite of a bogey ground like Goodison is (a happy hunting ground?), that's what Dean Court is for us. It's their biggest game of the season and they usually bottle it.
