I agree with this. I actually think Puel has done good work behind the scenes, and whoever the manager is next season will benefit from that. Hopefully it is Puel, and he is given the opportunity to turn it around. He's a title winning manager who has led a team to the Champions League semi-finals. He's probably the most successful manager to have ever managed Southampton. It will click next season, guaranteed.

Utter rubbish. If we finish in the bottom half next season, that would equate regression, and whoever the manager was, I'd be calling for his head. Finishing 8th, with Europa League, masses of injuries etc. is not regression. Puel has done a lot of good work this season, whoever is the manager next season (hopefully Puel) will benefit from that good work done behind the scenes

I wouldn't say I'm a staunch supporter of Puel, I just don't believe that sacking the manager is the answer. We're in 8th position now (as high as Pochettino got us...), maybe we'll drop as low as 10th, but that's a good platform to build on next season. Scoring goals, particularly at home, is a problem that needs to be addressed. Although missing penalties doesn't exactly help... At the end of the day, it's all about results. Nobody would be complaining if we were winning. Start next season well, bring in some new additions, and let's get this Premier League title snapped up (that last part was tongue in cheek )

We really went for it in this second half

Just our second ever point at home to Man Utd since our return to the Premier League. They have defended well, which is why I said that if we were playing Stoke, we'd probably be winning.

I'm quite high up in the predictions league. Half of my predictions have been said tongue in cheek, knowing how much it winds everyone up.
