  1. Did any questions from a 'Trevor Oast' get asked? I sent in some questions like - Are they planning to move to Sholing? Will Balram Chainrai be coming back? However, it sounds like the locals provided plenty of stupid questions anyway.
  2. On Twitter, they all think they're off to the Premier League very soon. Next season is going to be fun I feel. I can't wait for the deludedest to be proven wrong. Again.
  3. Having Champions League football to offer probably helped Same reason why Vardy and Mahrez stayed at Leicester. Leicester's summer will be interesting to look at this season.
  4. I imagine Taylor is surely also doing coaching stuff at the club, so not 'completely pointless'.
  5. I can't stand Diane Abbott. Vile, racist woman, and represents everything that is wrong with the Labour party. If someone white had said about black people what she has said about white people, they would've been heavily criticised, and rightly so. Although, the media have focused on this much more than Theresa May's gaffes, like saying she wants to stop tourism, and not knowing the name of the town that she was in.
  6. No, Heisenberg is NOT a hypocrite, at all, definitely not, how dare you suggest such a thing.
  7. Good news IMO. The 'keeping players he wants' line is interesting.
  8. These same morons insisted that we were in a relegation battle a month ago, even when it was obvious we wouldn't be.
  9. And we could finish in 8th place. You're right, I'm not saying the fans HAVE to like him. Like that idiot who thinks Nigel Adkins did nothing for us, whoever that is...
  10. Football fans are fickle. If we go and win at Anfield, all of this talk will go away pretty rapidly. Perhaps the board has seen morale is low, the players are on the beach, and have decided to use the media as an opportunity to fire a rocket up a few asses before Sunday.
  11. I agree. We'll finish in 8th. All of these reports are coming out because a French sports newspaper wrote an article based on the fact that the fans booed on Saturday. Cracking journalism.
  12. I mentioned this a couple of days ago, and surprise surprise, nobody had a valid response.
  13. I've translated the actual article https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Claude-puel-sera-t-il-la-pour-une-deuxieme-saison-a-southampton/797506 The actual article contains some errors (like saying our match against Hull was 1-1 rather than 0-0) but there are zero sources at all and it seems to be merely speculating if he will be in charge, rather than offering anything concrete. I've also translated the comments
  14. Look at the comments under the article! They're making fun of our fanbase, along the lines of "They're in the top 10, what were they expecting?!" And I have to agree with them.
  15. People are too quick to blame the manager for a poor performance but refuse to give him any credit for a good one.
  16. And yet people would like you use not reaching the final as a stick to beat him with. What is a FACT is that he got us further than Pochettino and Koeman ever did in any competition, and you can never take that away. Hopefully, next season, he'll go one further and finally prove the doubters wrong. Although no doubt, the usual suspects would still moan at something.
  17. Top trolling by the Mayor of Southampton
  18. Utter, utter rubbish We were on the backfoot for most of the home game. And they didn't name a weakened team by any stretch. 2nd leg, we defended superbly. A little bit of luck, but also a lot of effort and superb defending. The only match against them where we got lucky was the home league game, 0-0, where really we were lucky to keep a clean sheet. Tactically, Puel has outsmarted Klopp, at least in the cup matches. For what it's worth, we will be the underdog against Sunday, and if we get a point, it'll be a superb result. But we seem to be their bogey side currently.
  19. Three game against them this season, three clean sheets and two victories Not to mention we seem to play better away from home these days
  20. It raise a slight chuckle, I'll admit
  21. I don't want this to be a thread about the players you think we'll sell, but rather, which players do you WANT to go this summer? For me - Martina definitely. Gardos too. Isgrove I imagine will leave. All three not good enough. I wouldn't be too upset if we sold Long or J Rod either. We need strikers who can score. Gallagher back from a good spell at Blackburn would be better than an obviously demoralised J Rod. I'd like to see Clasie and Hojbjerg stay, I think they can improve still. And Reed probably needs a loan spell away somewhere, but I still think he could offer something in the future.
  22. I must admit, I was half tempted to start a similar thread and see if it would get any bites. Alas, SKD, you did this far too soon after the previous one.
  23. BBC Solent Sport‏ @solentsport Have your questions answered by @Michael_Eisner at the @PompeyTrust shareholders meeting @PortsmouthGhall #Pompey Email to askeisner@pompeytrust.com Come on nutjobs, I'm sure we can come up with a few I wonder if a certain Trevor Oast will be emailing in?
  24. They've got an outside chance of winning the league next week
  25. I saw one moron on Twitter saying he wanted David Moyes  That's the level of intelligence we're dealing with here folks.
